Currency Newshound Commentary: Very early this morning a follower on the Currency Newshound Facebook page asked my opinion of two sets of dinar notes she had acquired recently in Kuwait.  The exchange center she visited provided these notes to her free of charge.  One is a 10 dinar and the other is a 25.

Before I could verify or attempt to verify the notes authenticity it would appear the images had already been forwarded onto other sites.

Using banknotes.com as reference it would appear these two notes are from 1978 and 1980.  I am certainly not an expert in authenticating currency however a strong resemblance does exist among the two sets of currency notes.

Since these images originated on Currency Newshound’s Facebook page I feel the story needed clarification.

I am sure the small denoms will certainly be appearing on the streets of Baghdad very soon based on recent articles however these images appear to be from a time gone by.  However, if I should stand corrected…include me in the very excited category!

What is your thoughts?  New or old?

p.s. Thank you Guen for your efforts
