National Alliance: Iraq seeks to cancel the debts incurred by companies, individuals and countries

MP for the National Alliance on Falh, Thursday, that Iraq is seeking to cancel debt for quite a few companies and individuals and nations, noting that some lawmakers have made presentations to the Minister of Foreign Affairs on the seventh item. Falh said in an interview for “Alsumaria News”, “Iraq is seeking to cancel the debt owed him for quite a few companies and individuals and nations, during the invasion of Kuwait in 1991.”

Ambassador Mohammed spring for the attention of Arab Economic Unity Council to invest in our sister State of Iraq,

And that he will head a delegation from the Council to visit Iraq during the month of March prior to the upcoming Arab summit by, where he called to organize an exhibition of Arab products in Iraq to increase trade exchange between Arab countries, ranging from inter-Arab trade between 10-12% only.

While the asserted Dr. Loai goodness of God that the Iraqi economic institutions recovered and began to engage in activity again, where he was in Iraq now is investment opportunities in the fields of agricultural, industrial, tourist and service and also in the housing sector and construction.

Demonstration and clashes with security forces near a bank

Demonstrated a number of beneficiaries of the grant of the Prime Minister for the Displaced in front of a bank near Firdous Square, to protest the delay in the payment of this grant.

According to one eyewitness said the demonstrators protested over non-payment of the grant to them and the repeated postponement by the bank and sang slogans condemning the delay.

BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: Ministry spokesman Assem Jihad, Oil, Thursday, that approving the budget on the price of $ 73 per barrel would fill a deficit budget.

He said Jihad told (Voices of Iraq) that “this year will be better than last year in terms of productivity, which will increase about 200 thousand barrels per day,” noting that “the adoption of the budget on the price of $ 73 per barrel would fill a public budget deficit, considering that the current price of a barrel is $ 90. ” He added that “the current price of a barrel of 90 dollars will support Iraq’s financial income.”

CBI: Educate public on paying taxes

Baghdad, Jan. 13 (AKnews) – The Iraqi Central Bank (ICB), stated on Thursday that the assumed value of taxs in the 2011 budget is amounted to 2.7 trillion Iraqi dinars, that is 3% of the state budget.

Muzher Mouhammed Saleh, the adviser of the ICB, told AKnews that the tax file is semi-disabled in Iraq due to the poor performance of tax planning services, and because the citizens avoiding to pay the fees of the state general tax.

Most of the political blocs to have comments on the draft law

Opinions of Representatives on the causes of delay in approving the budget for the year 2011 before the House of Representatives. With refer some reasons for the delay to the existence of some gaps and problems experienced by the budget, including the lack of priorities of the projects submitted and to give powers to provincial councils, others said: that the insistence on the view the budget to parliament before the formation of the committees of Finance was the main reason for the delay in approval.

Ministry of Finance announced that the powers vested in them under the provisions of paragraph / 4 of section / 7 of the Public Administration Act No. 95 of 2004 allows issuing instructions exchange rate of one twelfth of the actual expenditure for the year / 2010 with the need for full compliance with the instructions of the implementation of the federal budget for 2010 and the Implementing Regulations Government Contracts No. 1 of 2008.

The Central Bank of Iraq, Thursday, that the assumed value of the tax to balance in 2011 amounted to 2.7 trillion Iraqi dinars.

The adviser said the Central Bank of Iraq the appearance of Mohammed Saleh told the Kurdish news agency (Rn) that “the estimated amount of tax to balance the 2011 reach the 2,7 trillion Iraqi dinars, worth a total of 3% of the value of the state budget.”

Prime Minister Nuri Kamal al-Maliki meets U.S. Vice President Mr. Joe Biden

His Excellency Prime Minister Nuri Kamal al-Maliki at his office today, the official U.S. Vice President Mr. Joe Biden and his accompanying delegation.

He stressed during the meeting, the need to develop relations between the Iraq and the United States in various areas by activating the strategic framework agreement, calling to start meetings immediately to the joint higher committee between the two sides, for the purpose of further bilateral cooperation, and stressing the importance of holding direct meetings between the relevant ministers from both countries in order to develop an agenda is discussed in the meetings of the High Joint Committee.

And the price of Mr. Prime Minister, the efforts of the U.S. administration, particularly Vice President  support Iraq to get rid of international sanctions and out of Chapter VII.

One of the prominent features of Noori Almaliki’s new government is that it is based on reassuring participating political forces that what happened in the past, such as marginalization, crackdown on, and elimination of, political opponents, won’t be repeated in the future. That’s why Maliki had to increase the number of ministers from 37 in the last government, to 42 in the new one. This number is almost double the number of ministries in China, whose population is 1.2 billion people (actual number of Chinese ministries is 24). The number of vice presidents and deputy prime minsters has also been increased from two to thee each. If the last government was inflated, what can we call the new government? Expanded? Greedily covetous? Or is it necessary, in order to avoid power struggle? But, can’t also be a recipe for more conflict?

Erbil, Jan.13 (AKnews)- The U.S. Vice president, Joe Biden will arrive in the Kurdistan Region’s capital, Erbil, Thursday evening to meet with the top Kurdish officials.

Faysal Dabbagh, the media secretary for the Kurdistan president, Massoud Barzani, told AKnews Biden will discuss with Barzani and the Kurdish premier, Barham Salih the current political situation in Iraq and some other issues.

Reuters) – Kuwait announced interest in investing in Iraq with the prime minister on Wednesday, the first visit by the President of the Government of Kuwait to Baghdad since Saddam Hussein’s invasion of the emirate in 1990.

He met Prime Minister Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Sabah, with his Iraqi counterpart Nuri al-Maliki in an effort to improve relations still tense because of the insistence of Kuwait to Baghdad to pay her compensation of approximately $ 22 billion.

Sheikh Mohammed Al-Salem Al-Sabah, Deputy Prime Minister of Kuwait, who accompanied the prime minister said Kuwait has a lot of ideas, it also has a genuine desire to build bridges between the two peoples. He added there is a great desire to invest in infrastructure in Iraq and this is what it seeks the visiting delegation for its consideration.
