Muqtada al-Sadr’s return to Iran suddenly

Aides to Iraqi Shi’ite cleric anti-American Moqtada al-Sadr said he returned to Iran on Friday after spending two weeks in Iraq long after he had spent in Iran.

Chest and left the country without fanfare.

The speeches of al-Sadr mobilized millions of poor Shiites against the American forces after the invasion of Iraq in 2003 and his militia played a major role in the sectarian violence that has engulfed Iraq.

Ministry of Planning: rates of inflation recorded a rise in 2010

The Ministry of Planning in its report that inflation rates have risen by 3.3 per cent in 2010 compared to 2009 due to the growing cluster of cash.

A spokesman for the Ministry of Planning Abdul-Zahra al-Hindawi said that the ministry had approved the prices of goods and services components of the consumer basket for a selected sample of outlets in Iraq, and noted that the rate of inflation in the waiver constant compared to years that followed in 2003.

Hindawi said that inflation has fluctuated in 2010, but it is under control and will not affect the level of the Iraqi economy.

It should be noted that the report of the Ministry of Planning is contrary to what was announced by the CBI on the eighth of this month, which pointed to lower inflation to its lowest level since 2003 as a result of exchange rate stability and build financial reserves.

Deputy from the Kurdistan calls for review of salaries of Iraqis

The deputy of the Kurdistan Alliance bloc said on Friday Iraqi Council of Representatives to reconsider the salaries of Iraqis, stressing the need to develop standards for them to ensure “justice” and “equality.”

In a statement to the Kurdistan News Agency (Rn) said Hamid Adel Yazdin Buffy “The salaries in the State were usually placed according to the criteria include, inter alia, scientific degree and experience, and years of service, rank and position, and dangerous, and social status, and strengthen the professionalism, dedication to work.”

Have seen the salaries of government employees and security personnel in Iraq after 2003, a quantum leap compared to what it was during the rule of the regime of President Saddam Hussein, of times what they were earning at the time.

Ministry of Industry revealed by a car (Iraqi made) works electric and solar

Said the Ministry of Industry and Minerals said that researchers at the research centers of energy and the environment were able to Iraqi car industry is working  electric and solar.

She explained the General Authority for research and industrial development in the ministry that the new car is made up of an electric motor works DC, in addition to system control and solar panels and batteries, shipped by sources of electrical current traditional. And seating for two with load capacity of one ton and a top speed of 40 kilometers per hour.

American businesses are nervous about the Chinese New Year

The Chinese New Year, which is just two weeks away, is making at least one American retailer very anxious.

“In China, everyone goes home for the Chinese New Year holiday,” said Mona Williams, vice president of buying for Texas-based The Container Store, a haven for storage and organization products.

That means the hundreds of thousands of factories in the world’s workshop that make everything from toys to televisions will shut down for 15 days straight.

First State Owned Chinese bank in US?

Oil is preparing to launch a licensing round, the fourth and the signing of a contract to develop gas field crutch

The Ministry of Oil in Baghdad, Friday, that it is launching the fourth round of contracts for oil licensing to include fields located in areas not covered by previous rounds, are shown at the same time that it will sign next month a draft contract to develop the field crutch gas in Anbar who saw the contrast it with the Department of the province.

Inquiries for delaying naming Iraq’s major ministers

An MP from the NC called on Friday for naming quickly the security ministers to fill the ministries run by the Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki to guarantee the stable performance through a competemt minister to lead and implement the tasks of the ministry, stressing on that he will question the parliament about the reason behing delaying the naming of the security ministers.

Sadiq al-Labban told AKnews that the ministers should be appointed for the interior ministries and their that obligations and responsibilities are great, and if the minister implemented the duties and followed-up plans, then the ministry will be more effective in identifying the responsibilities and the defects.

Euro record high levels against the dollar and yen

The euro highest level in two months against the dollar on Friday thanks to a steady wave of buying by speculators and sovereign funds.

As the single European currency rose to its highest level in five weeks against the yen of 112.22 Japanese yen, 0.2 percent higher during the day Friday.

New Iraq and the United States commitment to security pact, which imposes on Washington to withdraw its troops late this year.

The Minister of State Hillary Clinton, her country’s support for “political progress and security”, as called for by Vice President Tareq al-Hashemi to Washington to “arm, train and develop the performance of Iraqi forces before the withdrawal.”

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement that “the minister Hoshyar Zebari had received a call from Clinton expressed through support for the government to provide political, diplomatic and security in Iraq. And renewed commitment to her work with the Iraqi government to operationalize the strategic framework agreement and the holding of meetings of the High Commission between the two countries soon.”

Erbil, Jan.21 (AKnews)- A Kurdish lawmaker said the Iraqi finance minister, Raf’i Isawi will arrive in the Kurdistan Region to discuss budget issues with the Kurdish officials while he accused the drafter of the Iraqi 2011 budget bill of “attempting to weaken Kurdistan’s authority.”

Burhan Mohammed Faraj told AKnews the expected visit follows a recent visit by the Kurdish premier to Baghdad. Faraj added the officials will deliberate Saturday on the Kurdish side’s comments on a range of issues, above all the Iraqi budget bill, in Erbil the Kurdistan Regional capital.

Iraq signs contracts buying new planes

Iraqi Airways, Iraq AirplaneBaghdad, Jan. 20 (AKnews) – Iraq’s Transport Ministry revealed on Thursday that it has signed a contract with a German company to buy 15 civilian aircraft to be received in Iraq by 2013, indicating that it plans to contract with international airlines to operate flights to the country on the condition that is truncated about 45% of the profits of flights for the benefit of Iraqi Airways.

The press secretary of the Iraqi Airways Akram Lahibi said Iraq has signed a contract with the German company Bionk to import 15 aircraft which would arrive in Iraq by 2013 after the solution has been reached between Iraq and Kuwait on the compensation of the airlines.
