Kuwaiti ambassador in Iraq, Wednesday, that the debt issue between Kuwait and Iraq need to be a lot of discussion and understanding of the attitudes, pointing out that some old debts, as revealed by the Amir of Kuwait promised to be present at the first summit conference in Baghdad.

He said the believer in an interview for “Alsumaria News”, on the sidelines of a ceremony held at the Kuwait Embassy on the occasion of rejoicing independence of the State of Kuwait that “the leadership of Iraq and Kuwait  to the issue of debt, which was repeated frequently, as some old, some talk has been linked to part of the period of the former Iraqi regime” .

Kurdish lawmaker exclude the adoption of the 2011 budget next week

Baghdad, January 26 (Rn) – ruled Kurdish lawmaker in the Iraqi Council of Representatives, Wednesday, the approval of the financial budget of the country in the next week because of the existence of “legal and technical problems” not solved by politicians.

Minister of Planning and Research Agency with Nassar al-Rubaie of the Iraqi Central Bank Governor Sinan al-Shabibi a mechanism to address the accumulated debt of Iraq.

A statement from the Ministry of Planning Wednesday that al-Rubaie met with Iraqi Central Bank Governor Sinan al-Shabibi his office in the ministry’s headquarters in Baghdad.

She said, “Deputies will discuss the Federal Court decision on the independent administrative bodies linked to the prime minister instead of the House of Representatives.”

\Baghdad / January 26 (Rn) – The media spokesman of the Iraqi Planning Ministry said on Wednesday that 28% of Iraqis suffer from unemployment, underemployment according to the latest statistics.

Said Abdul Zahra al-Hindawi told the Kurdish news agency (Rn) announced today that “28% of Iraqis suffer from unemployment and underemployment, which means they are working less than 35 hours per week and sporadic.”

BAGHDAD (Reuters): An official at the Iraqi Finance Ministry today said that Iraq would fill a budget deficit in 2011 – which is expected to reach $ 13.6 billion – if oil prices remain at current levels.

The budget is still subject to negotiations between the political blocs after transmission several times between the parliament and the government.

Iraq’s central bank chief warned Tuesday that a high court decision to put the financial institution under the supervision of the Cabinet instead of parliament could threaten the country’s assets abroad.

The comments by Sinan al-Shebibi were part of a chorus of criticism over last week’s ruling that the central bank, the Independent High Electoral Commission and the anti-corruption watchdog should be linked to the Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki’s government. (more…)

The Central Bank of Iraq on Wednesday, it does raise bonds worth 400 billion dinars, according to a monthly interest rates ranging from 4.5 to 8%, depending on the amount of supply and demand by the Ministry of Finance and government banks.

The central bank adviser said the appearance of Mohammed Saleh told the Kurdish news agency (Rn) that “the central bank sells bonds to the Ministry of Finance of up to $ 200 billion dinars every two weeks.”

The MP said the coalition center Khalid Abdullah al-Alwani, the Federal Court began  mistakes, calling for the House of Representatives to put an end to this court, which was the reason for delay in forming a government.

He added that the Court’s interpretation on the bodies linked to the Council of Ministers is a coup against the constitution and its opinion is not binding on the House of Representatives, he said.

Minister of Planning and Research Agency with Nassar al-Rubaie of the Iraqi Central Bank Governor Sinan al-Shabibi accumulated debts of Iraq and the mechanism of addressing them.

Statement of the Ministry of Planning said that “al-Rubaie met with the Iraqi Central Bank Governor Sinan al-Shabibi his office in the ministry’s headquarters in Baghdad During the meeting, they discussed ways of strengthening cooperation between the Ministry of Planning and Central Bank of Iraq.”

The budget is still subject to negotiations between the political blocs after referred several times between the parliament and the government.

The estimated latest draft of the budget expenditures by about $ 80 billion assuming an average oil price at $ 76.50 a barrel and an average crude oil exports of 2.25 million barrels per day. . And expects a deficit of $ 13.6 billion.
