Leader of the Iraqi List, Iyad Allawi, on Saturday, taking a position on the political process in reference to withdrawing them in the event of non-implementation of agreements on the initiative of President of the Kurdistan region of Iraq, Massoud Barzani, loaded with regional countries and the international community to give up the existing Iraqi electoral maturity .

The expected meeting between Iraq’s Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki and the Leader of al-Iraqiya Coallition, Iyad Allawi, could be final to settle the issue of the proposed National Council for Strategic Policies (NCSP), the official spokesman of al-Iraqiya Coalition said on Saturday.

The meeting between Maliki and Allawi is not expected to be the last meeting between them to reach joint national viewpojnts between both sides,” Shakir Kattab told Aswat al-Iraq news agency, adding that “the meeting can reach a final agreement towards differences regarding the NCSP.”

Kattab said that “the joint meetings between both sides could lead to reach a joint action program to settle their differences,” calling for “meetings between Maliki and Allawi to settle the problem of the remaining cabinet posts, that are not filled yet, as well as the issue of the NCSP.”

CAIRO / Aswat al-Iraq: Iraq’s Permanent Representative in the Arab League, Qais al-Azzawi, has hailed the Egyptian people, who he said “have managed to lead their revolution to impose their will,” reterating that “there is no intention to change the time or venue of the Arab Summit, scheduled to convene in Baghdad next March.”

“Iraq hails the Egyptian people, who led their revolution very cautiously during the past three weeks to impose their will, an unprecidented incident, because the revolution was led by the Egyptian youth and not the parties, and secondly because they acted in a complete civilian and inviolent means to achieve their demands,” Azzawil told Aswat al-Iraq news agency on Saturday.

Egyptian currency markets operate normally, according to Deputy Governor of Central Bank of Egypt Hisham Ramez told the BBC.

Ramiz said that the central bank had to intervene earlier this week to ensure the stability of the markets, but foreign investors have returned to participate in the speculation, and observers believe that the central bank had injected one billion dollars at least in the markets in order to maintain the value of the pound.
