The Iraqi cabinet’s energy committee has asked the oil ministry to review the economics of a $12 billion natural gas joint venture with Shell and Mitsubishi, the oil minister said.

The ministry plans to report its findings next week. “Next week we will have a meeting to present a clearer vision of the economics of the contract,” minister Abdul-Kareem Luaibi told a news conference on Tuesday.

The deal with Shell and Mitsubishi is intended to allow Iraq to use some of the 700 million cubic feet of natural gas it flares each day to fuel urgently needed domestic electricity generation.

Vietnamese inflation accelerated to a 25-month high in March on rising gasoline and power costs, adding pressure for another increase in interest rates.

Prices rose 13.89 percent this month from a year earlier, compared with a 12.31 percent pace in February, according to figures released by the General Statistics Office in Hanoi on Thursday. That’s the fastest since February 2009. Prices rose 2.17 percent from February.

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung is aiming to curb credit growth, restrain the budget deficit and tighten monetary policy after shifting the focus to taming inflation from boosting economic expansion. Price gains will likely exceed 14 percent by midyear, driven by a weaker currency and higher fuel and electricity tariffs, Credit Suisse Group AG said this month.

Cut off the security forces, Thursday, streets near Tahrir Square, with barbed wire to coincide with the possibility of demonstrations starting on Friday in central Baghdad, while a police source said that the security forces cut off roads in such a precaution.

Witnesses said residents of the area around Liberation Square, said that “security forces for the Baghdad operations, on Thursday evening, began placing barbed wire in a number of streets and the nearby area  leading to Tahrir Square in central Baghdad.”

Baghdad, March 24 (AKnews) – The Foreign Relations parliamentary committee said Thursday that it welcomes the invitation of Iraq to join the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), describing the invitation as “late” while a close source to the Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki stated that Iraq’s accession to the GCC is conditioned to non-interference in the interior affairs.

The Bahrain Prime Minister Khalifa bin Salman al-Khalifa called two days before in an interview to returning Iraq to the Gulf work system in the framework of preparations done to convene the Supreme Council of the GCC in the UAE capital Abu Dhabi on the 6th and 7th of this month, considering that the return of Iraq to the the Gulf and Arabic work system will increase its power.

Komaki haiti, Para, MoneyBaghdad, March 24 (AKnews) – The adviser of the Iraqi Central Bank (ICB) said Thursday that the inflation will continue to rise if the Iraqi economy continued its reliance on the revenues of crude oil only.

Inflation is known as the excessive increase in the general level of prices and rising cash incomes or any component of cash income such as wages or profits as well as high costs and excessive creation of cash credits.

Muzher Mohammed Saleh told AKnews that the inflation will continue increasing unless agricultural and industrial projects were developed in addition to supporting the local production.

“The monetary policy in the country will continue to rise if the local production continues to be unable to cope with the imported materials so that the supply will match with the demand for the goods.”

The leader of the Iraqi List, Iyad Allawi, leader of the Islamic Supreme Council, Adel Abdul Mahdi, the Iraqi government to respond to the demands of “legitimate” citizens in particular with regard to respect the freedoms granted to them under the Constitution and to improve the situation of services, Mwkdan in another context, the need for the will of the Arab peoples and their freedom to choose the political systems that rule.

Baghdad (news) .. accused the spokesman for the Iraqi List, Shaker Book of the rule of law broken the security ministries. A book in the statement (of the Agency news) on Thursday: “No there is a problem with the Iraqi List, the candidate of the Ministry of Defence has been agreed within the list but the problem is the National Alliance.”

He added that the reason for delayed submission of candidates for security ministries due to the rule of law when you can think of to solve this issue will be resolved for these ministries.

Prime Minister’s Office holds a workshop to improve the performance of ministries

Under the guidance of the Prime Minister Nuri Kamal al-Maliki, Prime Minister’s Office held a workshop to improve the performance of the Iraqi ministries in the 23-24 month this March.

The workshop aims to evaluate a high-level of the current challenges facing the ministries and that prevent the submission quality services to citizens.

Baghdad (news) .. MP from the list, Qusay Abadi said the Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki, did not answer about the book list that messengers to him containing the candidates and the Department of Defense, and select one of the ministry.

The press statement of a number of members of the Iraq pointed to the existence of differences between the components of the list to take over al-Obeidi, who was nominated by a combination of Iraqi-led Osama Nujaifi of the Ministry of Defense, and the post Wazzirmen share Accord Movement, led by Iyad Allawi.

Minister of Industry: a plan to collect nine different brands of cars in Iraq

BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: A Minister of Industry and Minerals Ahmed Nasser Al-Karbouli, a plan of his ministry to sign the 8 contracts for automotive assembly as well as 9 different brands of cars in Iraq, in addition to the production of tires and batteries.

Karbouli said in a statement quoted by the newspaper statement issued Tuesday, “the Ministry of Industry and Minerals plan to sign the 8 contracts to assemble cars from brands of sherry and Alscanea as well as 9 brands of cars Alhonday and Kinao the Abbey, made half of next year, in addition to the production of batteries, and tires.”

Headed by Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki to submit names of candidates luggage security to the House of Representatives the end of next week to vote on them.

The Ministry of Commerce of Iraq, Thursday, the opening of the electronic system for issuing import and export licenses, in order to provide the speed factor in this and to ensure greater transparency in the issuance, considering that the core of the system of e-government in Iraq.

Observers believe that of the Iraqi street protests and pressure on Parliament to make economic and political reforms represent an opportunity for MPs to get rid of restrictions control the heads of parliamentary blocs on the decisions, and play a bigger role as it exists in parliamentary systems in developed countries. The Iraqi List, said Thursday that Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki would present a candidate and one of five candidates to fill the bag and the Ministry of Defense, confirmed That Maliki waiting to send the National Coalition for the name of the candidate to fill the bag and the Ministry of the Interior before displaying the names of candidates to parliament for a vote on them.

A member of the House of Representatives of the Alliance of Kurdistan forces Chuan Mohamed Taha, said that differences and problems existing between the leaders of political blocs, is the main reason for the delay in naming security ministers so far.

He said Taha told the independent press (Iba) The House of Representatives never any delay in this matter and when the findings of the leaders of political blocs to agree on candidates for security ministries will be voting for them inside the dome of the parliament, stressing that the solution to this issue outside the parliament and representatives of the people who wanted to end this matter as quickly as possible.

His Vice President Adel Abdul Mahdi, in his office in Baghdad, Wednesday, the U.S. ambassador to Iraq, James Jeffrey.

During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations and ways of strengthening them to serve the interests of both countries, with emphasis on the need to adhere to the agreements concluded between the two sides in all fields.

The two sides reviewed the latest developments in the Iraqi arena and the democratic transformations in the country, stressing the importance of moving in the process of reconstruction and economic development.

Both sides also discussed the rapid developments in many Arab countries and the wave of demonstrations and protests that have beset many of the regimes in the region, calling for the need to conduct in the path of peaceful democratic transition of power away from all forms of violence, tyranny and despotism.
