maliki2Baghdad, 31 May (Rn) – Iraqi leaders agreed to the list late Tuesday night to send a specific message containing four demands to Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki to be applied in line with the initiative of Massoud Barzani.

The Vice-President Tareq al-Hashemi told a news conference after the meeting, attended by news agency Kurdistan (Rn) that “the leaders of the Iraqi List, agreed at their meeting today to send a letter to Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki, demanding the implementation of what has been agreed upon within the Initiative Massoud Barzani.”

Iraq seeks to regulate the financial sector in order to avoid the financing of terrorism and money laundering

Iraq and Kuwait are locked in a dispute over a port that Bagdad says the latter is building by encroaching on its territorial waters.

Iraqis argue the construction of the Mubarak al-Kabeer port would choke off the battle-scarred country’s only access to international shipping lanes.

Kuwait says they are ready to sign an agreement to guarantee its project will not hinder the construction of Iraq’s own Faw Grand Port.

Agreed political blocs, which met the home of Deputy Prime Minister Ruz Nuri Shaways to form a higher committee to follow up the agreement of Arbil, the security ministers chosen  as soon as possible.

Shaways said in a statement singled out the Iraqi political blocs have committed to the success the second phase of Irbil, noting that the Iraqi List, was suspended participation in meetings, pending receipt of a response from the National Alliance on resolving the issue of the National Council for the strategic policy level.

For his part, leader of the National Alliance Hassan Sinead, said the political blocs is committed to the success of the initiative need to Arbil from which the government of national partnership.

Run al-Dulaimi, the Iraqi Ministry of Defense

Revealed a source close to the leader of the Iraqi List, Iyad Allawi, Tuesday, that the list has nominated Maj. Gen. Nouri al-Dulaimi, oblivious [as a candidate] to the Ministry of Defence, saying that Allawi sent a biography of self-Dulaimi, to Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki. The source said in an interview for “Alsumaria News”, “the Iraqi List, agreed on the nomination of Major General in the former Iraqi army Nuri al-Dulaimi, oblivious to the Ministry of Defense.”

The source, who requested anonymity, that “the leader of the Iraqi List, Iyad Allawi sent a curriculum vitae of the candidate’s new Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki for them,” noting that “the list awaiting a response from al-Maliki.”

Usually Matqom financial authorities of b (Ministry of Finance) by using the (fiscal policy) in order to maintain the general level of prices, in addition to the use of all productive resources available in the local economy to reach a state of full employment, as well as supporting the march of economic development, and this is done through the use of power financial instruments of fiscal policy b (government spending, and taxes).

The Authority uses financial instruments to address these problems (inflation, recession, unemployment), which is usually self-styled (the gap inflationary and deflationary gap), which might be exposed to the local economy, in addition to their use is targeted to raise the level of growth in the country.

Ambassador to Baghdad, James Jeffery, has proposed on the Iraqi politicians on Tuesday to activate the government of broad national-partnership that was formed after the last elections, instead of looking for “new scenarios” to settle the crisis, denying the existence of negotiations with the Iraqi government for the extension of the U.S.  troops presence in the country.

The U.S. Ambassador’s statement took place while answering a question by a number of Iraqi media sources, including Aswat al-Iraq, on Monday, about possible scenarios to settle the current political crisis among the political blocs, through holding early elections.

iyad allawiBaghdad, May 31 (AKnews) – Al-Iraqiya, led by former Prime Minister Ayad Allawi, will hold a “crucial” meeting today to determine its position following last night’s “disappointing” meeting with the ruling National Coalition (NC), said a deputy from the list.

The two blocs met yesterday in a bid to resolve the current crisis over the allocation of Iraq’s three security ministries and the formation of the National Council for Strategic Policies (NCSP) by returning to the power-sharing agreements signed between the political blocs in Erbil prior to the formation of the current government in December.

Al-Iraqiya’s Ziad al-Thareb told AKnews that the leaders of the al-Iraqiya list will meet to assess the results of the negotiating committees after yesterday’s meeting and set a time limit for the NC to submit a concrete proposal.

Iraq List announces suspension of its ministers to attend meetings of the Council of Ministers

Revealed the Iraqi List, Tuesday, the suspension of the presence of the ministers in the Cabinet meetings because of failure to indicate the position of the National Alliance to previous questions to the list.

Said Rep. Nahida Daini in an interview that “the Iraqi List, has decided to suspend the presence of the Minister for the meetings of the Council of Ministers of the day and until further notice”.

Key Bills Moving Through the Iraqi Parliament

Parliament currently lists 79 bills registered for consideration with a committee but not yet voted on, 68 which have been through the first reading in parliament , but only 32 which have been through the second . A bill must pass through three “readings” to become law. Some key bills which are on the latter list – those presumably close to becoming law – are listed below.

But note that a disproportionate amount of bills which are not generally considered high-priority have progressed while others have not (i.e. the law on official holidays is through the second reading but the oil law is still in committee).

Baghdad (news) .. met Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari, James Jeffrey, the U.S. ambassador to Iraq, and Megan Sullivan, the political advisor to former U.S. President.

And said a Foreign Ministry statement received Agency (news) a copy of it on Monday: During the meeting, review the relationship between the two sides of Iraq and the U.S. in its various aspects after the withdrawal of U.S. troops the end of 2011, and to consider the prospects of developing them to meet the implementation of the strategic framework agreement signed between the two countries in 2008 .

The Prime Minister, Nuri Kamal al-Maliki on Monday, a written message from his French counterpart Francois Fillon included an invitation to visit Paris. According to a statement from Maliki’s office got news agency future (and with) a copy of it:

“The al-Maliki received a French delegation comprising representatives from the Ministry of Defence as well as number of representatives of French arms companies. ” The statement quoted Maliki as saying: “The doors are open to All French companies to enter Iraq and to participate in the process of construction and reconstruction, “stressing the need to expand bilateral cooperation between Iraq and France in all fields, particularly industrial and military.

For his part, the French delegation hoped to exert maximum efforts in order to work in Iraq and participate in the process of construction and reconstruction, stressing the French government’s keenness to promote bilateral relations.

Confirmed the Iraqi List led by Iyad Allawi, on Monday, it will take a firm decision today to stay in the political process or the suspension of its membership, while refusing to attend the meeting attributed the representatives of the political blocs today for not being content with the answers provided by the National Alliance and not reacting positively to the initiative and past meetings.
