Iraq plans to sign a memorandum with Kuwait to manage the waterways

Baghdad, 12 May  - A legal adviser in the prime minister on Thursday that Iraq intends to sign a memorandum of understanding with the Kuwaiti side of the joint management of water times between the two countries.

Fadel said Mohammed Jawad, told the Kurdish news agency (Rn) that “Iraq plans to sign a joint agreement with Kuwait on the formation of joint management of the waterways between the two countries, including the Khawr Abd Allah.”

He added that “Kuwait and Iraq borders define the water in accordance with Security Council resolution No. 833 of 1993, which ends with the limits for Bubiyan line corresponding to the Khawr Abd Allah, which is located 95% of its water deep within the administrative boundaries of the Kuwaiti side.”

BAGHDAD (Iba) .. Iraqi economists draw a grim picture of their country’s economy after four decades of planning and confusion of war and internal crises and economic sanctions against this country.

He said a news report carried by the agency (Xinhua) China News, economists agreed that the successive governments in Iraq have not succeeded in getting rid of the fact that the Iraqi economy, economy unilateral depends mainly basic on the export of oil, which keeps him on the stability and supersedes and paralyze the work of economic activities in the other, and as a result of loss opportunities for progress and prosperity for the Iraqis who have become the poorest peoples of the region.

Emergency delegation sent to Kuwait to fight port plans

Baghdad, 12 May (AKnews) – An emergency committee has been formed to tackle the dispute between Kuwait and Iraq over Kuwait’s plans to build a port right next to Umm Qasr, Iraq’s only deep water port.

The committee, which will travel to Kuwait to resolve the crisis within the next two days, was set up by Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki.

The Kuwaiti authorities announced their plans to develop Mubarak port, just over the border from Umm Qasr on the Arab gulf, on Monday.

Nujaifi wave-Maliki refuses to dissolve parliament

BAGHDAD ( Alsumaria News): The head of the House of Representatives Osama Najafi, Thursday, that any hand can not replace the House of Representatives but the Council itself, as pointed out that the government requested the withdrawal of a wide range of existing laws to the Parliament, confirmed that it did not provide its government even Now.

BAGHDAD – The Feed – a parliamentary source said that the Iraqi Council of Representatives through its voice on Thursday, a majority to nominate Adel Abdul Mahdi and Tariq al-Hashimi and Khudair Khuzaie, Vice-President of the Republic.
The source told the News Agency of public opinion, “The House of Representatives voted a basket and one at its 65 majority, the nomination of Adel Abdul Mahdi of the Supreme Council for Islamic and Tariq al-Hashimi of the Iraqi List and Khudair Khuzaie for a coalition of state law,” Vice President of the Republic.

Najafi says he will call for political leaders to a meeting inside the parliament for the disclosure and activating the agreements

The President of the House of Representatives that “the House of Representatives is the highest authority in the country and can not be resolved any other party, but the Council itself.”
Osama al-Najafi in a press conference today that “there is a possibility to ask the Prime Minister of the President of the Council to resolve, but the decision first and last will be the Council’s vote of 163 deputies.”

The Prime Minister said at a news conference yesterday to the possibility to ask the President of the Republic to dissolve the House of Representatives, in the event of the opinion that the Council is not actively support the government laws. “

Morning parliamentary sources earlier said the Presidency of the House included in the agenda of the meeting of Parliament on a vote to Vice President.

The source did not indicate whether the problem occurred on three or less vote for Vice-chairs were solved or not.
But he said: that “ President Jalal Talabani nominated both Adel Abdul Mahdi and Tariq Al-khuzai as Vice-Presidents ”.

The Presidency of Parliament held a meeting yesterday with leaders of parliamentary groups to discuss among other issues including voting on Deputy President and the Prime Minister’s security, the Council adopted the date of recess starting on 16th of this month or extension.

Iraq to cut the selling prices of crude to the United States and Europe

Said Iraqi Oil Marketing Company (SOMO) on Tuesday that Iraq is reducing the price of Basrah Light crude to U.S. buyers in June shipments up 15 cents to a level below $ 2.10 a barrel on the Argus index, but to raise prices for Asia.
And set the official selling price for shipments of June of Kirkuk crude to U.S. refiners when the addition of 25 cents over the Argus index, compared with 40 cents as well as in the previous month.

The price of shipments of June Basra Light crude to Asian buyers at a level of less than five cents on the average of Oman and Dubai crude compared with the level of at least 15 cents in the previous month.

The price of sales of June Basra crude to European buyers at a discount of $ 7.05 for the spot price index for North Sea crude for discount of $ 6.50 in the previous month.
