Baghdad, June 10 – The adviser in the Iraqi government that there is an economic necessity for the integration of private banks, among them, because their performance of monetary and financial have still not convincing.

The Legal Counsel said in the Iraqi government Mohammed Fadhil Jawad of the Kurdistan News Agency (Rn) that “private banks need to the integration among them in order to raise its capital to prevent any obstacles encountered by citizens and businesses deposited their money in it.”

Minister of Finance:’ll put pressure on the Council of Ministers, Hasib citizens to government debt

Finance Minister Rafie al-Issawi that he will be asked to extinguish the debt from the government on the Iraqis, which is for electricity, real estate and agricultural bank.

Al-Issawi stating that he would ask the Council of Ministers and in person to Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki to extinguish the debt claimed by the Iraqi government, which will reach a whole to 900 billion Iraqi dinars.

Issawi said that the fire may be limited to the bank wanted the real estate and small amounts of agricultural and wanted the Ministry of Electricity wages of electric power, indicating that he had received assurances from some ministers, to vote on this issue.

Tahrir Square again witness a demonstration calling for the people of Baghdad, the Maliki government to drop the

Hundreds of people of Baghdad, Friday, in the second event taking place in Tahrir Square today to demand to drop the government of Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki and making constitutional amendments.

The reporter said “Alsumaria News”, hundreds of people demonstrated in Baghdad since Sunday morning in Tahrir Square, the center of the capital required to drop the Maliki government and constitutional amendments.

The reporter, the protesters waved placards saying “people want to overthrow the government of Maliki,” and “liar Nuri al-Maliki” and others.

The construction of the new Central Bank headquarters in Baghdad represents a major step in the institutional development and modernization of the Central Bank of Iraq.

At the margins of the Tigris River, the building site connects to the ancestral civilizations and the foundations of Iraqi history, opening the prospect of a new chapter of re-emergence.

The Central Bank of Iraq has engaged the Iraqi born architect, the legendary Zaha Hadid.  Her team includes some of the internationally well known practices including DEGW, Davis Langdon, Adam Kara Taylor, and Max Fordham.

The team, led by Zaha Hadid Architects has already produced the initial study setting out the clients requirements and site utilization.

Hakim: the Framework Convention laid the foundations for the correct relationship between Baghdad and Washington

BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: President of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq Ammar al-Hakim, on Thursday, the Framework Convention between Baghdad and Washington to lay the foundations for the correct relationship between the two sides, according to a statement of the Office of the Wise.

The statement quoted by the agency received (Voices of Iraq) a copy of Hakim as saying when he received the American ambassador in Iraq, James Jeffrey, “The Framework Convention signed between Iraq and the United States has put the right foundations for the relationship between the two countries,” pointing at the same time “there is an opportunity for rapprochement between the political parties and the type of flexibility to overcome the obstacles and problems that Taatari the political process in Iraq. “

In a statement … Azri Bmedkq global demand to discuss the issue of Trade Bank of Iraq

Said the chairman of Trade Bank of Iraq, Hussein Azri said the government should appoint an independent auditor to investigate a global issue in the bank and contained information about the presence of fraud in business dealings.

And Azri said in a statement received by the Shatt al-Arab news agency a copy of which is ready to cooperate fully with the relevant authorities to get to the facts in detail.

Iraq will ask the US to keep troops in the country beyond an end-of-2011 pullout deadline, says the nominee to be the next US defence secretary.

Outgoing CIA director Leon Panetta said he had “every confidence that a request like that will be forthcoming”.

Mr Panetta was speaking at a US Senate committee considering his nomination.

The US currently has about 47,000 troops in Iraq, none in a combat role. Under a 2008 deal, they are expected to leave by 31 December 2011.
