A parliamentary committee: the direct application of customs tariffs decision the next five months
Baghdad, June 18 (Rn) – The committee of economy and investment representative, Saturday, that the customs tariff law, which the government decided to postpone its implementation will start working during the next five months, indicating that the law protect the consumer and the manufacturer of Iraq.
The Iraqi government authorized the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers to prepare a draft law that would suspend the decision of the customs tariff No. 22 of 2010 and until further notice, which was supposed to work by last March.
A member of the Committee Nahida Daini told the Kurdish news agency (Rn), “The application of the law of customs tariffs is a critical necessity as it protects the consumer and at the same time Iraq is to protect the product of Iraq,” noting that “the next five months will be of the law.”
