Iraq has been working on the development of the payments system in the country’s banks –  Plan to make Iraq a twinning between Iraqi and international banks

Baghdad, July 9 (Rn) – The Central Bank of Iraq adviser said on Saturday that there is a plan he described as “high level” to make Iraq a twinning between the banks and international banks to develop a system of payments in the banks of the country.

Shafiq Ghabra: Kuwait, Iraq did little to reassure the objectives of the port of Mubarak

Iraq is exporting oil products soon; Refineries producing

Oil Ministry announced yesterday that the refineries of the four plans to create will raise Iraq’s production of oil derivatives to 1.0005 million barrels a day, asserting that Iraq will turn from an importer to exporter of petroleum products after the completion of the refinery, as pointed out that the refinery in Karbala is the most demand for investment compared to refineries other.

The agent said the oil ministry for liquidation and gas industry, Ahmed Chandler: The Oil Ministry is currently in contact with a number of investors for the purpose of implementation and construction of four refineries in four Iraqi provinces, indicating that these refineries will raise Iraq’s production of oil derivatives to 1.0005 million thousand barrels per day, thus turning from a net importer of petroleum products to the source of it.

Iraqi Banking Delegation Meets Lebanese BankersAs part of its visit to Lebanon, the delegation of the Iraqi banking sector, which includes 22 officials from the Central Bank of Iraq and Iraqi banks as well as some members of the project and financial development project in Iraq, visited the Association of Banks in Lebanon on Thursday 7 July at 11:30.

BDL is the body that coordinated the visit of the Iraqi delegation. They were accompanied by the Director of the Economic Division at the BDL, Dr. Najib Choucair. In addition, representatives of Lebanese banks as well as Iraqi banks operating in Lebanon also participated in the meeting.

Vietnam’s Central Bank Rate Cut will Boost 2012 Inflation, Credit Suisse Says

VietFinanceNews.com – Vietnamese inflation will be higher next year than previously forecast as a result of a central bank rate cut this week that was “premature” and may confuse investors, Credit Suisse Group AG (CSGN) said.

The State Bank of Vietnam on July 4 lowered its repurchase rate to 14 percent from 15 percent. The cut was the first this year for the repurchase rate, which was 10 percent in January. The repurchase rate appears to have become Vietnam’s benchmark for monetary policy, JPMorgan Chase & Co. (JPM) said in March.

Vietnam: Forex rate still under pressure says experts

VietFinanceNews.com – Although the foreign exchange rate has been stable for two months now under positive impact of the central bank’s monetary policy, experts say pressure is still piling on the forex rate in the near term.

HSBC in its recent Asia Economics Third Quarter 2011 said the persistently large trade deficit is on the list of economic concerns in Vietnam, with the aggregate shortfall in the first five months 19% higher than a year ago. Such a wide trade deficit will adversely affect the rate, the bank says in its report and expects the forex rate will be VND21,500 to the dollar by the year’s end compared to the current VND20,620 at banks.

Iraqi Planning Minister addresses the need for a census

Baghdad, July 10 (Rn) – The Ministry of Planning and Development Cooperation of Iraq on Sunday, it will raise a formal letter to the Council of Ministers of the need for population census on time and urged the political blocs to end their differences on the process of conducting the census.

Source: House of Representatives soon, says Prime Minister

BAGHDAD – a parliamentary source said early on Sunday near the host Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki in the House.
