Baghdad (news) .. A source close to the coalition of state law that the National Alliance will hold a meeting this week to nominate a candidate for the Ministry of Interior.

The source (of the Agency news) today: The National Alliance will be held this week, a meeting of all its components (state law, the Sadrist movement, martyr of the mihrab (the Supreme Council and the Badr Organization), virtue, stream goodness, the National Congress, to resolve the unidentified Interior Minister.

He added that the meeting will put forward new names for the post amid expectations of changing the positions of the security services.

Reuters: Iraq ‘plans to trim zeros from currency’

BAGHDAD (Reuters) – A senior official of Iraq’s central bank said on Saturday that Iraq intends to amend the categories of its currency the dinar by deleting three zeros in order to facilitate financial transactions.

Qasim said the appearance of the deputy central bank governor, said he expected the use of categories of the new currency in the market within three years and shall not affect inflation.

He told Reuters that the aim is to facilitate the payment system.

Kuwait, Iraq denied that the establishment of a nuclear plant on the common border

Erbil, August 6 / August (Rn) – The Undersecretary of the Iraqi Foreign Ministry said on Saturday that the Kuwaiti government told the Iraqi side of its intention not officially a nuclear power station on the common border between the two countries.

He explained, however, to Alabawi told the Kurdish news agency (Rn) announced today that “after Iraq’s participation in the General Conference of Arab nuclear energy, told the Kuwait the Iraqi government formally set up and no intention to create any nuclear power station on the common border between the two countries.”

He said: “During the conference, a meeting between the Minister of Science and Technology Kuwait with his Iraqi counterpart, Abdul-Karim al-Samarrai, was talking about this issue and the damage that may arise from them, has pledged to the Kuwaiti side not to create any nuclear plant would be damaging to the environment of Iraq.”

BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: The Leader of al-Iraqiya Bloc, Talal al-Zubae, has said on Saturday that the current Culture Minister in the Iraqi Cabinet was the most likely candidate to occupy the vacant Defense Minister’s post, confirming that 70 percent of al-Iraqiya, the Kurdistan Alliance and the National Alliance’s Legislatures support Zubae’s nomination for the post.

“Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki had rejected the 4 al-Iraqiya candidates for the Defense Minister’s post, and I see that signs are pointing out to Saadoun al-Duleimy as being the most accepted candidates inside al-Iraqiya Bloc.

The head of Office of the Presidency of the Republic Naseer Ani, the draft of the National Council for the strategic policy will be sent to parliament in two days.

Frattini: Italy seeks to resolve disputes as soon as the Iraqi-Kuwaiti

Said Italian Foreign Minister Franco Frattini said his country is seeking to resolve differences between Iraq and Kuwait as soon as possible.
