BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: The Legislature for Iraq’s National Coalition, led by Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, Ibrahim al-Lamy, is the luckiest candidate for the vacant Interior Minister’s post, among four candidates for the post, the Coalition’s Legislature, Mohammed al-Sayhoud told Aswat al-Iraq news agency on Sunday.

Differences have broke out more than 7 months ago about the candidates for the Security Posts in the current Cabinet, led by Nouri al-Maliki, that are still vacant, especially the post of Interior and Defense Ministers, the first being the share of the National Coalition and the second of al-Iraqiya Coalition, led by former Prime Minister, Iyad Allawi, with each side rejecting the candidate of the other.

BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: The Official Spokeswoman of al-Iraqiya Bloc, Maysoun Damaloujy, has said on Sunday that there were several articles of the draft-law for the National Council for Strategic Policies (NCSP) that don’t cope with the Constitution and must be adjusted, pointing out that her Bloc had no problem in this respect.

“There are many things in the NCSP’s draft-law that must cope with the Constitution, including several items that need adjustment, in order to cope with the Constitution, and there is no problem if they were adjusted, as we have no problem in this respect,” Damaloujy told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.

National Alliance approves NCSP draft law, with terms

BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: Iraq’s National Alliance, led by Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, has approved the draft-law on the National Council for Strategic Policies (NCSP), provided it does not violate the Constitution, a statement from the Chairman of the Alliance announced on Sunday.

“The National Alliance held a meeting on Saturday, under the chairmanship of Ibrahim al-Jaafari and attendance of Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki and other political blocs that are members of the Alliance, and agreed on “the legislation of the NCSP’s draft law, in principle, on the condition that it does not violate the articles of the Constitution and protects the principle of secession among the authorities and guaranteeing non-violation of the State’s authorities,” the statement, as was received by Aswat al-Iraq news agency, stressed.

National announces agreement to unify the Council about his policies and security bags

National Alliance agrees to the enactment of the National Council of the policies provided they do not breach the terms of the Constitution

Held a regular meeting of the National Alliance, headed by Dr. Ibrahim Jaafari, head of the coalition and the presence of Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki and representatives of all political blocs rallying under the banner.

A statement from Jaafari’s office said that “the conferees discussed the most important issues in the political arena, and agreed to the enactment of the National Council of the Supreme policies in principle provided they do not breach the terms of the Constitution and preserve the principle of separation of powers and ensure that no looting of the powers of the state.”

CBI witnessed a significant decline Sunday

SLC approves Bolani’s nomination for Defense Ministry

Baghdad, Aug. 14 (AKnews) – Former Interior Minister Jawad al-Bolani’s al-Iraqiya nomination to hold the Defense Ministry has been hailed by Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki’s bloc, the State of Law Coalition (SLC), as a “logical solution” to disputes over the post, praising at the same time Bolani’s professionalism.

Al-Iraqiya spokesman Haider Mulla announced the nomination of Bolani – a relative newcomer to the list – for the Defense ministry on Friday to the Iraqi media.

The SLC’s Abdul Hadi al-Hassani told AKnews that Bolani had proved his mettle when running the Interior Ministry “in difficult circumstances”, and that his nomination would win the support of the Iraqi PM.
