Iraq, Kuwait speakers discuss bilateral ties

The Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament Osama al-Nujaifi , met with speaker of the Kuwaiti National Assembly Jassem Al-Kharafi on the sidelines of the 5th International Conference in Support of the Palestinian Intifada which is currently held in Tehran.

The two sides, at the meeting , discussed the bilateral ties between Iraq and Kuwait . They agreed to resort to constructive dialogue and understandings in solving any problem between the two countries especially the issue of Mubarak port construction .

Kuwait will not accept any damage to Iraqi interests, al- Kharafi said , emphasizing that his country will reduce the stages of Mubarak port to three and the last one will be completed after five decades.

Iraq’s microfinance institutions to hold conference on financial inclusion

An Inclusive Financial Services Stakeholders Conference will be held in Erbil on October 3 and 4. The USAID-Tijara Provincial Economic Growth Program, along with Iraq’s 12 institutions who deal with microfinance, will be holding the conference. The theme for the conference is ‘Transforming Inclusive Financial Services for Increasing Outreach.’

The forum will be composed of policy makers from Iraq, international rating institutions, donors, and commercial bankers. In addition, representatives from the U.S. Agency for International Development will also be joining the forum.

Deputy for the rule of law: tomorrow’s meeting will put the finishing touches to end the crisis between the national and Kurdistan

Confirmed member of a coalition Acanon and MP / National Alliance / Rehab slave, that the meeting of leaders of political blocs for the day tomorrow, will put the finishing touches to end the crisis between the national and Kurdistan.

The slave in a statement (of the agency news) said on Monday: The Highlights will address the meeting, which will be the home of President Jalal Talabani, is a label candidates of the security ministries, and approval of oil and gas law which has caused confusion among the coalitions of national and Kurdistan recently, indicating that the meeting tomorrow will put the finishing touches to end the crisis between the coalitions, being close to p each, and one ally for another, and can reach solutions through dialogue between them.

Iraq wins seat to head the World Health Org (WHO) – Eastern Mediterranean region

Erbil, October 3 / October (Rn) – The Iraqi Health Ministry on Monday won the post of Iraq’s representation WHO Eastern Mediterranean Region.

This came as part of the coronation of the 58th session of the Regional Committee for the World Health Organization, held in Cairo, which was attended by some 22 ministers of health of countries of the Eastern Mediterranean in addition to the Director-General of WHO Margaret Chan.

Contract, Mr. Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari held a press conference today, Monday, 10/03/2011, which reviewed the results of his participation with the delegation of Iraqi high-level meetings of the General Assembly of the United Nations for its (66) and the meetings he held with his counterparts from around the world, where they discussed bilateral relations in addition to support the issues raised by some countries to support Iraq and to seek full membership of the State of Palestine at the United Nations.

BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: A White Iraqiya MP shouldered Parliament Speaker Usama Nujaifi with any potential aftermath resulting from his talks with his Kuwaiti counterpart Jassim al-Khurafi.

MP Alia Nsaif said that talks held between the two men regarding the three stages of Mobarak terminal are inaccurate.
She noted that the three stages will affect the Iraqi economy.

Iraq Investment Authority: 42 investment license granted during the nearly two years

Baghdad, October 3 / October (Rn) – The Investment Authority, Iraq on Monday granted an investment license to 42 companies, private sector $ 24 billion dollars, more than two years.

Iraq seeks to modernize its economy, especially after the signing of oil deals aimed at increasing oil production to four times its current size, although the country’s infrastructure is still crumbling after decades of war and sanctions.

He urged Iraq on several occasions, Arab businessmen and foreigners to invest in land. And confirms the presence of Iraqi officials and facilities that will attract many investors to the country and achieve their interest.

U.S. Embassy in Baghdad: Washington has not made any public comment on Biden’s visit to Iraq

Baghdad, October 3 / October (Rn) – The U.S. Embassy in Baghdad on Monday, that the White House in Washington has not yet issued any statement about the visit of U.S. Vice President Joe Biden to Iraq.

The comments by Iraqi officials have confirmed that the Vice President Joe Biden will visit Baghdad this month to discuss a U.S. presence in Iraq after the date of the withdrawal of its troops from the country at the end of this year.

The Maliki government is negotiating with Washington to keep the coaches after the American withdrawal date, but informed sources pointed to the faltering negotiations after Iraq refused to give coaches the Americans immunity from prosecution in Iraq.

Parliamentary Legal Committee ruled out the agreement on the draft Law on the Council Policy

Baghdad, October 3 / October (Rn) – ruled out the Legal Committee in the House of Representatives Monday the possibility of reaching an agreement on the preparation of a draft report of the National Council of the Supreme policies end of next week in preparation for inclusion in the agenda for the meeting next Thursday for the second reading.

The Presidency of the Council of Representatives had been commissioned earlier in the Legal Committee to prepare a report which diagnosed the constitutional violations contained in the draft law, which he read the first reading in the House and make proposals to modify the material in violation of the Constitution.

Concern the spread of counterfeit currency in the Iraqi capital markets

There is a state of anxiety among Iraq’s Diyala province, after warnings of a mafia shopping counterfeit currency in the local markets.

A state of controlled anxiety to workers in the capital markets in Diyala province in eastern Iraq, the spread of counterfeit currency in which, amid warnings of a mafia-backed Iraqi provinces seeking to establish outlets for the marketing of all kinds of counterfeit currency to domestic markets.

And Abdel-Rahman Masoud Al-Ibrahimi (50 years), the Office for buying and selling currencies in the city of Baquba, told Xinhua on concern about the increasing amount of pumping of counterfeit money in the local markets, confirming that it is detrimental to the national economy and lose credibility and trust among the citizens.

A statement by the Supreme Audit Agency has received all of Iraq [where] a copy of “The meeting focused on the audit results of Iraqi funds that were received and spent by the Coalition Provisional Authority and U.S. Department of Defense during the period of April 9, 2003] until [June 28, 2004].”

The statement stressed that “the audit of projects implemented by the U.S. side of America grant funds were in advanced stages, without being detected until the results of the moment.”

Tehran – envoy morning prevailed an atmosphere of optimism between the two delegations of Iraq and Kuwait on resolving the outstanding issues between the two countries after a “friendly” took place between the Chairman of the House of Representatives Osama Najafi and National Assembly Speaker Jassem Al-Kharafi attended by “morning”, while said Najafi that the dilemmas with the State of Kuwait will soon, through dialogue, Kharafi pledged that in the event proved that the Port Mubarak will hurt Iraq, the country will eliminate this damage.

Confirmed the Iraqi List, Monday, that its leader Iyad Allawi will not participate in the meeting of leaders of political blocs without obtaining guarantees for the implementation of the remaining of the terms of agreements Erbil, while the expected postponement of the meeting because of the incompatibility.

The MP said the Iraqi List, Talal Zobaie said in an interview “Alsumaria News”, “the leader of the list by Iyad Allawi, stipulate a condition to obtain guarantees the implementation of the remaining provisions of agreements Erbil to ensure entitlement to the Iraqi exchange for participation in the meeting of leaders of political blocs to be held at the home of President Jalal Talabani.”

Baghdad, October 3 (Rn) – The Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari on Monday about the existence of internal challenges and described as “large” impede the start of Iraq to build relations with all neighboring countries, noting that the Iraqi government to this challenge and must resolve the situation on those challenges .
