According to Abdul Hussein Hamid al-Jabiri, adviser in the Iraqi government, Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki officially informed Iraqiya List that he rejected Dawri.
However, somebody, who is close to Iraqiya List’s leader Ayad Allawi, said that only members of parliament who allegedly are close to Maliki, delivered a letter about the rejection to Iraqiya leader Ayad Allawi.
