Iraqi government, discusses the 2012 budget mid-month

Baghdad, November 8 / October (Rn) – The Iraqi government said Tuesday it will discuss the country’s budget for the 2012 mid-month in preparation for approval and sent to the House of Representatives.

Government figures indicate that Iraq’s budget for next year will amount to 131 trillion Iraqi dinars (about $ 112 billion), up 36% from the current year budget and a deficit of 23.3 trillion Iraqi dinars (20 billion dollars).

The government says the deficit will be covered by the amounts of cash retained from the current year budget 2011 is internal and external borrowing and the proportion of savings is expected to increase selling prices or increased oil production or borrowing from the IMF and World Bank. (more…)

Baghdad, November 8 (Rn) – An adviser to Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki for the Kurdistan region on Tuesday, said that reports to Maliki of joint committees between Baghdad and Erbil confidential and will not reveal to the media at the moment, with the expectation that the response of al-Maliki on those reports soon.

Baghdad, November 8 (Rn) – called the Iraqi market for securities of nine companies listed on the market to provide its financial statements pursuant to applicable laws.

The executive director of the market Abdul Razzaq al-Saadi told the Kurdish news agency (Rn) that “the Securities Commission called for nine companies to provide business financial statements of the application of Law No. 14 which requires disclosure of the financial assets of the companies listed on the market.” (more…)

CBI calls for review of operating expenses

Central Bank of Iraq stressed the importance of reviewing operating expenses. CBI: slice of staff are the most income in the whole country

Baghdad, November 8 (Rn) – The Central Bank of Iraq, Tuesday, that slice of staff in Iraq has reached the economic income of $ 6.5 thousand per year and are among the best economic segments of society has gone beyond the middle income status.

Media adviser to Al-Maliki, said Ali al-mousowi, the visit of the prime minister, Nouri Al-Maliki, to Washington in 12 next month, is at the invitation of US President Barack Obama.

CBI confirms the absence of the need to open branches in the provinces

The Central Bank of Iraq no longer need to open branches across the country, at the time the Ministry of Finance is working to open branches of the Rafidain and Rasheed in different areas of the province of Kurdistan.

Central Bank of Iraq announced that it does not need to open branches in all governorates of the country.
The IFC has recently called for the central bank to open branches in all governorates of the control of monetary policy and maintaining the balance with fiscal policy.

The deputy governor of the Central Bank of the appearance of Mohammed Saleh told the Kurdish news agency (Rn) that “there is no need to open branches of the Central Bank of Iraq in Iraq’s provinces,” .. noting that “at the bank branches in Basra, Mosul, and are sufficient to maintain a balance between monetary and fiscal policy” .
