A senior government source revealed (the news) for Biden’s visit to Baghdad in 48 hours

Baghdad (news) .. up through (48) hours the next U.S. Vice President Joe Biden to Iraq in a visit for a day or two days looking through a number of issues concerning the U.S. withdrawal from Iraq, and the relationship between Iraq and the United States.

A government source said a high level ( Agency news) on Monday: that Vice President Joe Biden will arrive in Iraq in the (48) hours coming to discuss a number of common issues and will meet during his visit, both the Prime Minister and President and Chairman of the House of Representatives, as well as his meeting with leaders of political blocs. Zebari discuss with Jeffrey Alasttrateja activating the Framework Agreement and the Joint Coordinating Committees

Baghdad (news) .. Research and Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari in the headquarters of the ministry, with James Jeffrey, U.S. Ambassador in Iraq, plans and programs of governments to give effect to the framework agreement Alasttrateja and activate the coordination committees in common.

Arbil, November 28 (Rn) – Turkish media sources said on Monday that U.S. Vice President Joe Biden will pay an official visit to Turkey early next month, according to a Turkish site Khepri.

The Web site, “Turkey Day” to “Vice President Joe Biden, Khatib will pay in the first of December next official visit to Turkey for talks with senior officials on a number of bilateral and regional issues.” (more…)

AP: Kuwait opposition: Government offers resignations

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (AP) — Kuwait faced a fresh bout of political uncertainty on Monday after opposition lawmakers said the government has submitted its resignation to the Gulf nation’s ruler amid a growing crisis over corruption accusations.

AKnews reports that the Iraqi Central Bank (ICB) has confirmed it will issue a new bill with a value of 50,000 IQD ($43) but marked as 50 dinars.

Deputy chairman of the ICB Dr Muzher Saleh said the bank is working to issue this new money in addition to coins in both Arabic and Kurdish in an effort to address the liquidity problem in Iraq. (more…)

BAGHDAD, Nov. 28 (AKnews) – For its calculation of the 2012 budget, the Iraqi government uses an estimated average price per barrel of crude oil of $95 USD (113,300 IQD).

The government did not follow recommendations of the Finance Committee in the Council of Representatives to consider a lower oil price of $75 USD (89,400 IQD). The Committee had warned last Thursday that a drop of the oil price could negatively affect Iraq’s budget plans. (more…)

Baghdad (NINA) – Parliament Speaker, Osama Al Nujeifi, discussed with a delegation from the International Monetary Fund means to help Iraq and tackle its international debts.

A statement issued by Nujeifi’s media office today said he stressed “during the meeting, present by Finance Minister, Rafi’ Al Esawi, and the Minister of Planning, Ali Yousif Al Shukri, Secretary General of the Cabinet, Ali Al Allaq, on the importance of the IMF in correcting Iraq’s economy route,” demanding “to speed up finishing the 2012 budget in a short time.” (more…)
