UNSC schedule for December 2011 regarding Iraq

On December 10th 2011 the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) is scheduled to receive the Iraq-Kuwait High Level Coordinator Report.

Also, Prior to January 1, 2012:

The UNSC is to receive the quarterly DFI report,  Iraq-Kuwait Report on Missing Persons and Missing Property.

Lastly, a report regarding the earmarking of funds allocated to UN’s Iraq High-Level Corridinator. Funds are set to expire at the end of 2011.

These three reports to be delivered sometime in December, Approximately mid-month.

UNSC to receive UNAMI Briefing Tuesday December 6th

On Tuesday December 6th 2011 This morning, the Security Council will receive a briefing and hold consultations on the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI).

Economist Opinion: The failure of the banking system caused a delay of investments in Iraq

Called economic expert Ismail Abdul Hussein to the need for the application of single window system and the elimination of red tape to facilitate the work of investors in Iraq, asserting that the failure of the banking system in Iraq has led to delay the investment process in the country.

said Abdul-Hussein told the reporter Agency (news) on Saturday: if it wants the federal government to succeed the investment process in Iraq, it must apply single window system and to eliminate the deadly routine transactions and administrative reviews for all its departments as hampering the investment process and lead to the reluctance of investors to enter the Iraqi environment. Iraqi List MP: Iraq List will be an important meeting coming days and Allawi, Talabani discussed with the requirements the next phase

BAGHDAD (Iba) .. He said the Iraqi List MP Talal Zobaie that the coming days will witness a meeting of all members of the elected head of the list saying it was its project of national led by Iyad Allawi.

He told the independent press (Iba) said members of Iraq seeking to unite her in all directions the adoption of the national project in addition to developing rules of procedure would be adopted in the management process in preparation for the next stage. On the other hand said Zobaie, who accompanied the existing Iraqi President Iyad Allawi in his meeting with President Jalal Talabani said the two sides in search of items the next phase in Iraq after the U.S. withdrawal and the importance of joining the leaders of political blocs and leave the differences behind their backs in order to stabilize Iraq. Kordestani: Next week political leaders will be meeting at Talabani’s House

Baghdad (newsletter).MP for/Kurdistan/Coalition blocs that Jihad Hassan next week will be a meeting of leaders of the political blocs in the House of President Jalal Talabani.

Jihad said in a statement (for the news agency of news) Saturday: that next week will be a meeting of leaders of the political blocs in the House of President Jalal Talabani will put all the outstanding problems.

He added: there are many outstanding problems between the Central Government and the territorial Government and the Iraqi list and State law and must be resolved. (more…)

and said Saadi’s solution (News): ‘that the problems between the political blocs on the oil contracts and any variation will continue to exist unless it recognizes the law of oil and gas’.
