Iraqi Central Bank reduced the significance of the reports indicated the prevalence of counterfeiting in Iraq, whether local or foreign ones.

(With POL-IRAQ-HASHIMI) (With photos) BAGHDAD, Dec 19 (KUNA) — Prime Minister Nouri Al-Maliki said Monday he would not tolerate undermining security in Iraq, saying “blood is a read line that crosses with politics and we can’t discuss it.”

Speaking to KUNA, Al-Maliki said “there is no doubt that blood crosses with politics. We talk about anything except security.” He underlined independence of the judiciary. “We can’t interfere in the judiciary regardless the body that proves to be involved in violent actions.” Earlier today, a judicial committee issued an arrest warrant against Vice-President Tareq Al-Hashimi on terrorism-related charges.

Al-Hashimi’s bodyguards confessed that they were ordered by the vice-president, his secretary and his son-in-law, Ahmad Qahtan, to carry out terrorist attacks and killings in Baghdad.
