Mutnon expressed concern about the project to delete three zeros from the Iraqi currency, which called for by the Central Bank of Iraq recently, saying that «the project would put particular strain the shoulders of the Iraqi citizens and raise the price of materials, particularly of food in the market is not subject to any control».

While the central bank recently said that «the three categories consist of 200 dinars, which is equal to 200 thousand dinars at the present time and a 100 dinars, which is equal to 100 thousand dinars, and the category of 50 dinars, which is equal to 50 thousand dinars, in addition to the coin of the category of the dinar and Dinarin as well as half and quarter dinars and 100 fils and dirham». CBI: Expectations of higher property prices in the coming period

CBI acknowledges a deficit in the budget of 2012 by 10% of the gross domestic product

Baghdad, January 24 (Rn) – The Central Bank of Iraq, Tuesday, that the budget deficit in 2012 of 20 trillion Iraqi dinars, or gain of 10% of GDP, confirming that the budget deficit by default and can be treated through the stabilization of world oil prices and survival over the $ 104.

The parliamentary Finance Committee announced on Monday that Iraq will not need to borrow from the IMF, which is hoped to give Iraq $ 4 billion.

And endorsed the Iraqi government in its emergency meeting in (05/12/2011) budget in 2012 by $ 100 billion (about 117 trillion Iraqi dinars) and a deficit of up to $ 13.5 billion (about 17 trillion dinars). (more…)

Postponed the visit of the Arab League delegation, which was scheduled to visit Baghdad yesterday under the chairmanship of Deputy Secretary-General Ahmed Ben Helli, to complete the arrangements for holding the Arab summit in Baghdad, the end of March.

Ambassador Ahmed Ben Helli in a press statement that he decided to postpone the visit to 30 of this month for talks with senior Iraqi officials on the arrangements for holding the next Arab summit. (more…)

Baghdad (news) .. the parliamentary Committee confirmed that the previous years which saw the recognition on the federal budget has been through the deals that resulted in passing key legislation at the expense of the approval to pass the budget, indicating that the current year budget is not clear which, if anything about what will be through pass important laws or not.

A member of the Finance Committee MP Faleh force (of the Agency news): The past years have seen the approval of the federal budget but through deals to pass several laws, including the amnesty law and the law of the provincial councils, noting that only the previous year’s budget did not pass laws which deal.
