Baghdad (news) .. called a member of the Committee on Energy and Investment parliamentary MP / National Alliance / Hussain Alabtan to raise the price of the Iraqi dinar against the dollar to improve the living conditions of the individual.

The Alabtan in a statement (the Agency news) on Thursday the central bank to do a study to raise the proportion of the Iraqi dinar against the dollar and foreign currency in excess of (60) billion dollars. (more…)

The State Department said that U.S. President Barack Obama expressed his conviction in the ability of Iraq to overcome the internal political differences, which is going through now.

A statement of the Ministry for the U.S. president reiterated during his office at the White House received the credentials of the new Iraqi ambassador Jaber Habib Jaber, “the importance of bilateral relations between Baghdad and Washington.” (more…)

Urged U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton Iraqi politicians to settle their differences peacefully, warning of wasting the opportunity to achieve prosperity and unity, noting that “he should act as a democratic Iraq to accept compromises.”

Clinton said in a question and answer session with the staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs that “the U.S. ambassador to Iraq, James Jeffrey Bader discuss Iraqi politicians, including Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki to settle their differences peacefully.” (more…)

(Reuters) – Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner said on Thursday that key emerging-market nations must let their currencies rise in value in order permit more stable global growth.

In an interview in Tokyo with Japanese broadcaster NHK, Geithner appeared to refer to China when he spoke about the role of emerging market countries in creating a more stable monetary system.

BAGHDAD, Jan,27 (AKnews)- All the components of the Iraqiya List, led by Ayad Allawi, will meet Sunday to decide whether or not end a boycott of the House of Representatives and Council of Ministers.

Mohammed al-Khaledi, an Iraqiya deputy told AKnews that during a meeting yesterday it was decided that the final decision over the boycott be taken on Sunday.

Iraqiya boycotted the sessions after Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki refused the regional autonomy demands by Diyala and Salahaddin provincial councils. (more…)
