CBI requires banks to disclose their customers who wish to obtain foreign currency

Committed Central Bank of Iraq, Thursday, all Iraqi banks participating in the auction to disclose its customers to obtain foreign currency, attributing the cause of the lack of sales of the currency during the past two days to the lack of definition of the buyer himself.

United Nations calls for the establishment of a federal Iraq

Iraqi parliament calls to stop selling the dollar at auction

Iraq announces plan to extend the five-year plan to 2016

Ministry of Planning announced on Thursday its intention to extend the five-year development plan for two more years until 2016, indicating that the political and security situation is “stable” was behind this extension.

He said ministry spokesman Abdul Zahra al-Hindawi planning for “Twilight News” “The Ministry of Planning determined to extend the five-year development plan to the two years ending in 2016.”

BAGHDAD, Feb. 1 (AKnews) – The government’s Economic and Investment Committee has objected to the allocation of infrastructure projects within the 2012 budget, claiming that not enough detail has been given.

The committee says that the latest budget does not include enough information on spending – with the exception of the $2 billion allocated for housing.

AKnews reported yesterday that the government has allocated $15 billion (17.3 trillion IQD) for infrastructure projects in the 2012 budget, according to deferred payments. (more…)
