Bankers are demanding the House of Representatives to amend the law of Iraqi banks

Baghdad, February 14 (Rn) – The number of Iraqi banks, civil, Tuesday, Iraqi Council of Representatives to amend the law of Iraqi banks for lack of clarity of some of its articles as well as the circumstances raised by the article, especially the twenty-eighth of it.

The law of Iraqi banks enacted in 2004 by authority of the civil governor Paul Bremer and which contains many of the Alnicosat according to specialists.

The deputy managing director of United Bank for Investment sword Hilfi during a seminar held in Baghdad and attended by the correspondent of news agency Kurdistan (Rn) that “Article 28 has a lot of the challenge that limits the actions and activities prohibited to banks, including investment, participation, and many other aspects should not be locked in the banks,” . BAGHDAD, Feb 14 (KUNA) — Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri Al-Maliki on Tuesday urged the State of Kuwait to put all the bad memories behind and let bygones be bygones.

Baghdad, February 14 (Rn) – The committee of economy and investment representative, on Tuesday, the Federal Government to the necessity of activating the tariff law, stressing that the Iraqi market is able to be a rival to world markets.

The Ministry of Finance decided in September last to stop the introduction of tariffs until early next year due to higher commodity prices, high price in the country.

The Ministry of Finance of Iraq was postponed in February 16 last tariff law work for an unspecified time because of some obstacles faced by the law and the mechanisms of action. (more…)

MP for / Kurdistan Alliance bloc / Sherif Soliman that President Jalal Talabani called for political blocs to unite the paper demands made by the Preparatory Committee, indicating that the failure of the conference will lead to the collapse of Iraq and the trend towards the unknown.

Sulaiman said in statement (of the Agency news) on Tuesday: There must be a single sheet of paper placed on the national meeting to be a consolidation of views prior to the meeting, noting that the political blocs must have the approval in principle to this paper.

BAGHDAD, Feb. 11 (AKnews) – Privitasing the government’s Central Markets company has started, the Trade Ministry announced on Saturday.

The Inspector General of the ministry , Mohammed Hussein al-Wazzan, told AKnews that investment was needed to improve the economic situation and at least pay the salaries of the company’s 6,000 plus employees. (more…)

Iraq gets the approval of all States to attend the Baghdad summit next month

Cairo, February 14 (Rn) – The representative of Iraq in the League of Arab States that Iraq was approved by all Arab states to attend the Baghdad summit, indicating that there is no country objecting to the summit.

The ambassador said Qais Al-Azzawi told the Kurdish news agency (Rn), “about a year ago and we are working diligently to hold the Arab summit in Baghdad, but the situation experienced by the Arab states in the previous period referred without held in time last year,” but he also said, “but there is an Arab consensus to be held in Baghdad for the return of Iraq to its natural place at the forefront of the Arab nation and the international one that the Axis powers and the fundamental absence of this axis to make the Arab League in an unbalanced state during the past years. ” (more…)

Iraqiya will not apologize for Mutlag’s remarks says MP

BAGHDAD, Feb.14 (AKnews)- Iraqiya List (led by Ayad Allawi) will not offer any apologies for the remarks the Deputy Prime Minister Saleh Mutlag made against PM Nouri al-Maliki, said an Iraqiya representative.

Dhafer Ani said “We [Iraqiya] refuse to apologize … but personal reconciliation between Mutlag and Maliki is feasible.”

In some media statements Iraqiya deputy Mutlag described PM like “a destructive dictator” which led Maliki sack him. (more…)
