KUWAIT: Kuwaiti diplomats acknowledged recent remarks by Iraq Parliament foreign relations committee member, Sami Al-Askari, in which he reasserted Kuwait’s right to construct Mubarak Al-Kabeer Port at its present location. His statements are based on an Iraq parliament investigative report, which resolves that the Kuwaiti mega port will not leave any negative effect on naval mobility in Iraq’s territorial waters. KARBALA, Feb. 29 (AKnews) – The Australian ambassador to Baghdad said her country supports the withdrawal of Iraq from the United Nation’s Chapter VII sanctions, adding that she visited Karbala to discuss investment opportunities.

Lyndall Sachs said in a statement during her visit on Monday: “Australia strongly supports the withdrawal of Iraq from Chapter VII, especially that it applied all its obligations by the International Security Council and the United Nations.”

A decision on Chapter VII is expected to be made by the UN Security Council in June. (more…)

Announced that the Iraqi embassy in Kuwait that Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki will visit Kuwait in mid-March.

A source familiar with the embassy told all of Iraq [where] that “al-Maliki will visit Kuwait in mid-March and will discuss during his visit a number of outstanding issues between the two most prominent ways to remove Iraq from Chapter VII of the UN Security Council and the file of the missing and prisoners, Kuwaiti and border problems and the Kuwaiti reparations.” (more…)

He called for a coalition of state law Haitham Jubouri officials to invest the Arab summit scheduled for late next month, Iraq’s debt in the liquidation of some Arab countries.

It is scheduled to take place the Arab summit in Baghdad late next month after it was supposed to take place last year but was postponed to March of 2012 at the request of Iraq. (more…)

Said an official statement Kuwaiti Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iraq Hoshyar Zebari him the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, a written message from President Jalal Talabani included inviting him to attend the Arab summit conference the twenty-third of the Arab League to be held in the capital Baghdad during the month of March.

The statement said the Emir of Kuwait received the Iraqi Minister and the delegation accompanying him Wednesday afternoon in Bayan Palace, and the meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid Al-Sabah and Deputy Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs Sheikh Ali Jarrah Al-Sabah.

Baghdad (news) .. According to financial expert, Abdul Sattar al-Bayati, that the work of the stock market is not encouraging despite the entry of new technology, likely withdrawal of small banks in the event of entry of banks merged with large amounts of capital.

Bayati said (of the Agency news) said on Wednesday: The stock market in Iraq since the year (2003) and yet is still not encouraging and the failure in spite of developments in it and the introduction of the technological and the use of Alajhzh electronic because of the vision inadequate for this market and perhaps there is no doubt in his role in the economic development of the country. Khandan – The Kurdistan Alliance, the formation of the Union of Petroleum and Energy will not be until after the enactment of the oil and gas, indicating that the law will be included on the agenda of the National Conference decision.

A spokesman for the Alliance supporter good: The oil and gas law is more important than everything now, because it will determine the issues outstanding between the federal government and the Kurdistan Region and the powers of the provinces and their relationship to the center, adding: We agreed on the version of the law during the current parliamentary session in line, and this dilemma will not be solved However, through it, and then if necessary to form the Federal Council of the oil or other institutions that will draw the oil policy, we will have a stand. Cairo, February 29 (Rn) – The Ambassador Mowaffaq Mahdi Abboud, president of the Department of North and South America in the Iraqi Foreign Ministry said Iraq completed all preparations for the Arab summit, including the preparation and rehabilitation of facilities and buildings that host the summit and its guests as well as the security preparations and logistics.

Iraq and sent five ministers to the Arab countries to deliver a formal invitation from President Jalal Talabani to the leaders and the leaders of Arab countries to attend the summit of Baghdad. (more…)
