BAGHDAD, June 9 (KUNA) — Iraqi President Jalal Talabani said here Saturday parliamentary blocs had failed to get necessary signatories for withdrawing confidence from Nouri Al-Maliki’s government.
Talabani said in a release handed out here tonight that his office had received the signatories of only 160 members of parliament, while the approvals of 163 deputies were required for the no-confidence motion to go through. (more…)

ERBIL, June 10 (AKnews) – Iraq’s Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki today called on the “political partners” to sit together to discuss the differences and outstanding issues, praising the role of President Jalal Talabani in resorting to the constitution.
