BAGHDAD/ Aswat al-Iraq: Ahrar Bloc MP Abdul Hussein Raisan described the visit of US Biden’s advisor to Iraq aims at follow-up the American project in Iraq, in reference to the division project of the country into three federalisms.

In a press statement, Raisan predicted that “crises could be continued to complete the division plan, which was proposed by Vice-President Biden”.

Politicians said that Joe Biden initiated the idea of dividing Iraq, cancelling centralism and giving the authority to ethnic, or religious groups, either Sunni or Shiite, so that these regions will be responsible for their local laws and administration, while the central government will control the defence, borders, foreign affairs and oil revenues.

The US advisor is on a current visit since last Thursday, where he met Premier Nouri al-Maliki and other Iraqi politicians the current situation, which is the biggest crisis in the last two years.

Iraqiya bloc, in cooperation with the Sadrist Trend and the Kurdish Alliance, are trying to withdraw confidence from Premier Maliki, charging him “unilaterally controlling the state, violating the constitution and failure in administering the state”.

President Jalal Talabani refused to refer the matter to the Parliament unless he will have 164 MP signatures for this end.

Talabani’s attitude stirred criticism of Iraqiya bloc, Ahrar Trend and Kurdish Alliance MPs, who said that “Talabani’s stand was not expected”.
