Iraq’s Core Inflation Slows

Trade Arabia reports that Iraq’s core inflation slowed to 6.2 per cent in May, down from 6.7 per cent in April.
The fall was due to a drop in the costs of food and housing said Mudher Kasim, deputy governor of the central bank.
In April, the country saw high annual inflation mainly due to the housing sector and to fluctuations in the exchange rate. “Core inflation” is a measure that strips out fuel prices.

An opinion poll conducted by the Office of the Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki on his official named (National Center of Information) that 70% of voters do not rely on the National Conference to resolve the political crisis.

BAGHDAD / JD / .. Minister of Planning Ali Yousef Shukri said Iraq has seen a clear improvement on the economic level after the rate has increased annual per capita income of $100 to four thousand dollars a year.
He said in a speech during his participation at the UN summit on Sustainable Development held in Brazil for the period from 20 to 22 June, with the participation of more than 140 heads of state and Prime Minister and the Minister as well as representatives of civil society organizations in the world: that Iraq has achieved within a few years past successes mission on the road to sustainable development in various sectors.
