Baghdad (AIN) –The Iraqi Foreign Affairs Minister Hoshyar Zibari inaugurated the new building of the Iraqi Embassy in London after being rehabilitated.
“Zibari raised the Iraqi flag and cut the ribbon of the new building accompanied by the British Minister of State for Middle East Affairs and Baron Emma Nickelson as well as the British Parliament member Nadim al-Zahawi,” a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs received by AIN cited.
“In his speech at the ceremony, Barzani stressed the deep relations between Iraq and Britain as well as the Iraqi Government’s adherence to develop these relations on all levels,” the statement added.
The statement mentioned that “The British Minister Alistair Beird assured the importance of inaugurating the building of the Iraqi Embassy in London which shows that Iraq has regained its position on both regional and international communities through the democratic change in the country.”
The ceremony was attended by several Arab and foreign diplomatic missions in London as well as representatives of the Iraqi political parties abroad and British journalists.
