In a report to the Security Council, issued late Thursday on the work of the UN Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI), Ban said the bilateral relations between the two countries “witnessed noticeable improvement” during the last four months, including the creation of a joint commission to manage the navigation of the Khor Abdullah shared waterway (more…)

Baghdad (News) … The Ministry said Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari, Gunn received a promise from the French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius to find a solution to the problem of frozen Iraqi funds in France.

The parliamentary Finance: Central Bank needs another year to replace currency

The Committee of Finance in the House of Representatives, Friday, support for the replacement of the existing currency, while the central bank’s readiness required for this step, confirmed that the bank needs another year to begin the process of replacement.

He said Haider Abadi, Chairman of the Committee in an interview for “Alsumaria News”, “project a good currency exchange provided that the central bank is ready for this step and carried out meticulously,” stressing the need for the “Bank procedures are correct and good.” (more…)

The Kuwaiti government has announced the cancellation of the fourth stage of the Mubarak Port, reports AKnews, due to harm to Iraqi navigation.
