Finance Committee: Delete the zeros of the local currency begins early next year

Diyala, July 14 (Rn) – The parliamentary Finance Committee, on Saturday, that the process of replacing the currency and delete zeros of which will be gradually beginning next year, noting that the process takes two years to three.

A member of the Committee and the representative of the Iraqi List Auzmn Hassan, told the Kurdish news agency (Rn) that the Iraqi Central Bank will begin to withdraw the current currency early next year, gradually and keep the current currency trading to give citizens enough time to replace the currency. “

Central Kurdistan seeking to overturn a primer edition and the inclusion of the Kurdish language in the new currency

Babinaoz (Reuters) – called the Central Bank of Kurdistan, Saturday, to speed up printing Iraqi currency zeros deleted and the inclusion of the Kurdish language to the new edition and to abolish the “Bremer edition” issued in the circumstances “exceptional.”

Babinaoz (Reuters) – The Secretary-General of the United Nations Ban Ki-moon, expressed concern over the increasing political tensions, which hamper efforts to push Iraq towards progress and prosperity, as pointed out that the continued negative impact on the security situation there.

The Ki-moon in a report to the Security Council last night about the work of the United Nations mission to help Iraq, UNAMI, said that “If you were not there to address meaningfully all parties in Iraq, it could hamper efforts to push the country towards progress and prosperity,” pointing to the that “the continued political tensions could negatively affect the security situation in the country.” (more…)
