Head of the Finance Committee in the House of Representatives Haider al-Abadi, Thursday, for the presence of five to seven models for the new currency has provided the central bank, pointing out that the addition of three languages by pointing out the existence of six categories and six categories of paper and metal.
Ebadi said in an interview that “five to seven companies provided models for the new currency to the Central Bank, which in turn will choose one of them,” explaining that “the models contained the Iraqi cultural sites, and three languages: Arabic, Kurdish and English.” (more…)

ERBIL, July 25 (AKnews) – The Iraqi council of ministers has approved a $500 million from the general budget to be allocated for resolving disputes with its neighbor Kuwait.
Iraqi government spokesperson Ali al-Dabbagh has said the council of Ministers has requested from the parliament to approve $500 million, $300 million form the 2012 budget and another $200 million from the 2013 budget, to be paid to Kuwait in order to end decades of disputes between the two countries. Announced today that the United States and Iraq signed a memorandum of understanding outlines of U.S. support for Iraqi efforts to reduce administrative obstacles in the Iraqi private sector.
