The UN Security Council extend the mandate of the United Nations Mission in Iraq for a period of twelve months, and demanded that Baghdad to continue cooperating with Kuwait to address the outstanding issues between them.
The Council voted on this resolution unanimously expressing its intention to review the mission within a year or less if they made Baghdad a request in this regard, calling on the Secretary-General of the United Nations Ban Ki-moon to submit a report to the Council every four months to explain the progress made in the work of the mission.
The Council welcomed in this context the progress made by Chit towards restoring the international Stature, calling him the important progress.
