UNSC welcomes the progress made by Iraq in the restoration of international stature

The UN Security Council extend the mandate of the United Nations Mission in Iraq for a period of twelve months, and demanded that Baghdad to continue cooperating with Kuwait to address the outstanding issues between them.

The Council voted on this resolution unanimously expressing its intention to review the mission within a year or less if they made ​​Baghdad a request in this regard, calling on the Secretary-General of the United Nations Ban Ki-moon to submit a report to the Council every four months to explain the progress made ​​in the work of the mission.
