Baghdad, 5 August / August (Rn) – The Special Representative of the Secretary-General in Iraq Martin Kobler has expressed concern about the delay in the selection of members of the Board of Commissioners of the new High Commissioner of the elections.

Kuebler said in a statement that “any further delay in the appointment of new commissioners, would be a serious threat to the democratic process in Iraq,” (more…)

ERBIL, August 5 (AKnews) – A parliamentary committee of experts, which holds the file to form a new electoral commission in Iraq, announced that it would present 15 candidates for the membership of the commission on Sunday.

Iraq’s House of Representatives last week voted in principle to amend the law on the electoral commission to increase the number of seats from nine to 15. (more…)

Baghdad (News) … According to a member of the Finance Committee of the Iraqi list MP//Hasan Al-Bayati, the IMF decided to extend financial aid program deadline of seven additional months, owing to the adoption of the supplementary budget for Iraq.

He said Al-Bayati (News Agency news) on Sunday: Iraq’s refusal of any supplementary budget to the International Monetary Fund to extend financial assistance to work for seven months, adding that the supplementary budget being faced many objections more operational than investment leading to reject completely.

He noted that International Monetary Fund loans granted as a symbolic reference to the world of international institutions that deal only with countries that have a good financial position or improving, stating, that Iraq is improving financial payment to the international institutions to deal with it with a view to increasing investment projects that serve the citizen directly.

And: the International Monetary Fund rules provide for cooperation with States by granting loans or credit facilities aimed at increasing investment and payment service projects these loans have a payment term

Baghdad (News) …Finished houses in the fifteenth meeting held Osama’s House and in the presence of 170 deputies, on Sunday, the first and second readings of the seven proposals and bills, after the adjournment of the meeting to be decided Monday.

The Council said in a statement received (News Agency news) on Sunday: that the Presidency decided to postpone voting on the bills the Federal Supreme Court and the Supreme Council of the judiciary and the legal Committee of the meeting tomorrow. (more…)

BAGHDAD / Center Brief for the Iraqi Media Network – Central Bank of Iraq revealed that the average trading on the banks of Iraq’s $ 3.25 billion, a block 80% of the actual need of the market.
