US delegation to arrive in Iraq to discuss international sanctions with Iran

Source: waiting for the arrival of a U.S. delegation to discuss Iraq is excluded from sanctions on Iran

An official source at the Ministry of Trade that a U.S. delegation will arrive in Iraq to resume talks on trade between Iraq and Iran and the exclusion of international sanctions.

Said the source, who asked not to be named, said that “Iraq told the American side needs to be excluded from the system of international sanctions imposed on Iran, especially in terms of electricity contracts and oil derivatives.”

The source added that “I have held talks with the Americans in this regard and he was awaiting the arrival of a U.S. delegation to resume talks in the hope of reaching a satisfactory result for both sides, especially the nature of trade with Iran is purely civilian in nature which is well known and clear.”

The international community imposed sanctions on Iran regarding the export of oil and other financial over its nuclear program. And linked to Iran and Iraq trade relations exchange volume reached nearly $ 10 billion, pushing the Baghdad government to call on the international community in cases where those sanctions.
