Trade Minister that tariff law new will not be applied before the adoption of the electronic system at the border crossings of the country.

said Khairallah Hassan that “tariff law passed by the Iraqi parliament in 2008, was scheduled to be applied on the first of June in the country’s border crossings with neighboring countries, including border crossings located in the province of Kurdistan, is that law enforcement will not be before the adoption of the electronic system in those crossings. “

Hassan added that “The Federal Ministry of Finance informed the Ministry of Commerce need to about six months of the adoption of the electronic system in all the country’s border crossings,” he said, adding that “the application of new tariff law will reflect positively on the protection of local products.”

The Iraqi Finance Ministry has identified the first of June, the date for the direct application of the system of tariffs for all goods entering the country to support the production, industry and local agriculture and reduce flood the market with goods of foreign bad, before they are announced to postpone its application until further notice.
