Frequent holidays harmed the national economy

Called Vice-Chairman of the Committee of Tourism and Antiquities Talal Hussein al-Zobaie, the House of Representatives and the government to pass a law holidays because of their negative effects on disrupting the Iraqi economy.

Zobaie said, according to the Agency (news) : The Public Holidays Act will eliminate most of the holidays that is reminiscent of the days of the former regime and all the holidays that do not make sense, stressing that increasing the holidays led to the decline of the national economy.

He added: The law provides for the reduction of public holidays, whether since the days of the former regime or after the events of 2003, noting that the law had been read the first reading and Tourism Committee is determined to complete its second reading and then voted on in the House of Representatives.

He pointed out that all the holidays and put the law, so it must be rescinded official law issued by the Iraqi government and with the approval of the House of Representatives.
