Kuwait’s government announced, on Wednesday, the postponement of the visit of Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki because of concern the general election, while affirming that they look forward with interest-Maliki’s visit to complete the negotiations and resolve outstanding issues.
The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Sabah Khalid Al Hamad Al-Sabah said in an interview for “Alsumaria News”, “Kuwaiti Prime Minister Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah telephoned Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki and told him to postpone his visit to Kuwait due to the concern of the government’s general election” .
The morning that “the Kuwaiti government are looking forward to the visit of Prime Minister of Iraq to complete the negotiations and resolve outstanding issues,” noting that “the Iraqi-Kuwaiti joint and developed a roadmap to develop the solutions for all the sticking points and complete what has been reached during the discussions held during the year 2011.” (more…)
