Postponement of the upcoming Arab summit in Baghdad May next

According to Arab diplomatic sources, Wednesday, that the Arab summit that was expected to be held end of March in Baghdad has been postponed until next May, while the sources pointed out that events in the Arab countries were behind the postponement of the summit.

The sources said “Alsumaria News” that “the Arab foreign ministers agreed at a meeting held today at the headquarters of the League of Arab States in Cairo on the postponement of the Arab summit to be hosted by Baghdad from March until the present and no later than mid-May next year.”

Parts and Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari, the road in front of skeptics in the Arab summit in Baghdad next March, when he announced the agreement with all Arab states to participate.

The announcement comes in, Arab leaders hold their convention in the second socio-economic resort of Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, amid widespread public grumbling of the difficult living conditions in a large number of Arab countries.

Zebari said in a statement the “morning”: “has been laying the groundwork for the first summit,” noting that he met the foreign ministers of all Arabs, and they agree to attend the Arab summit in Baghdad.

Sharm El Sheikh January 16 (Rn) – The Iraq at the joint meeting between the permanent representatives of member Arab League and senior officials of the Economic and Social Council at the Sharm el-Sheikh on Sunday to discuss ways of activating the linkage project Arab Maritime, and the linking of the Internet in the Arab countries, and activating the World Bank initiative in the Arab world on the financing of projects to be submitted to the Economic Summit to be held in Sharm el-Sheikh.

Revealed the Egyptian ambassador to Iraq Sheriff Shaheen, that the Engineer Rashid Mohamed Rashid, Minister of Industry and Trade of Egypt will be in the middle of next month’s visit to Iraq on top of large economic delegation comprising a number of senior businessmen and investors, to discuss ways to increase the volume of bilateral trade and investment between the two countries.

Sahin said that a group of Egyptian delegations have recently visited Iraq to establish a new phase of economic cooperation between the two sides, as Engineer Sameh Fahmi, Minister of Petroleum, visited Iraq last November it was agreed that the Egyptian companies to rehabilitate the infrastructure of Iraq’s oil and enter into Tenders for the rehabilitation of pipelines, refineries and distribution, and transmission of natural gas, and the agreement to enter Egypt on a major project for the reconstruction of the port of Faw in the reel.

The Iraqi government spokesman Ali Dabbagh said the Jordanian Prime Minister Samir Rifai for his visit to Baghdad, which was scheduled yesterday to next Monday. But did not reveal the reasons for the delay, saying only in a press statement that the visit «postponed from Thursday (yesterday) to next Monday». And I learned from the network

Baghdad- Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Aboul-Gheit said on Sunday that his country will take part in the Arab League annual meeting scheduled to be held in Iraq next March, despite concerns over the conflict-ridden country’s ability to play host.

‘Egypt shall have an active participation in the Arab summit,’ Aboul-Gheit said at a joint press conference in Baghdad with his Iraqi counterpart, Hoshyar Zebari.

Iraq is trying to bolster its international relations, though analysts have said that Baghdad might not be able to host the Arab summit, which the government sees as a key step towards its diplomatic future.
