Finance Committee proposes suggestions on the application of customs within the country

The Finance Committee member suggested Deputy National Secretary of the Alliance, General Customs authority procedures on imported goods within provinces and cities to prevent delay entry of goods and their accumulation in border ports.

Hadi said in a press statement: “the Customs General Authority procedures not applicable at all border crossing points, particularly in Kurdistan, this is unfair to some importers subject to procedures and delayed entry of goods and other northern ports passed without complications”. (more…)

In a statement to the press on Wednesday, Apr. 10, spokesman for the Ministry of Oil, quoted Luaibi saying, “Iraq’s oil reserve increased up from 143.1 billion barrels to more than 150 billion barrels, as a result of new discoveries; it is expected to increase even more. (more…)

The Iraqi cabinet approved on Sunday, to compensate the victims of RAR demarcation of the border with Kuwait in the province of Basra 240 million Iraqi dinars, the disposal of the emergency budget for the current year 2013.

Bank of America: Iraq fastest growing in the world because of the high production of oil

US bank confirmed that Iraq would be the fastest growing country in the world during this year and next year, with record high GDP 10.5%, attributing the cause to increase oil production, with the country expected to achieve a 9% growth rate until the year 2017.
