A report published by the BBC and the presence of 23% of Iraqis today live below the poverty line, indicating that they are in dire need of government support. Said the BBC in the report: that Iraq spent about 5 billion annually on food distributed to the population, and that on the west bank of the Tigris River in northern Baghdad, standing silo, one of the remnants of rare British rule in Iraq, has built the Hermitage during World War II for the purpose of feeding the British soldiers, and on the right on its side stand the structure of the longest of which was built in 1962 by the Soviet Union, when the Iraq deal briefly with the communist countries’ .
