Planning: high annual inflation rate was 2.8% at the beginning of the year
The Ministry of Planning for a very slight rise in the inflation index for the month of January / 0.6% / compared with last December.

Annual inflation index rose to 3.6%
Ministry of Planning and Development Cooperation, on Tuesday, a rise in annual inflation index to 3.6%, confirming the stability index monthly inflation for the month of December.

BAGHDAD – AFP: the numbers of Iraqis who were killed in the violence, a significant decrease during the month of December compared to November, as was the whole of 2011 compared with 2010, according to official figures published on Saturday night.
In total, 155 Iraqis were killed 90 civilians and 36 policemen and 29 soldiers in attacks in December, according to figures from the Ministries of Interior, Health and Defence. These monthly revenues are among the lowest since the U.S. invasion of Iraq in March 2003. (more…)
