Arab League supports the candidate of Iraq to the post of Director-General of FAO

CAIRO (Agencies): announced the Sheriff Hassan Fouad, Arab League representative in the Italian capital Rome, the University of absolute support for the candidate for the office of the Iraqi Director General of the Food and Agriculture Organization [FAO] of the Rome-based, Dr. Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid.

The Minister of Irrigation of the former Iraqi, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, yesterday, nominated to compete for the post of Director General of Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations, the first Iraqi to compete for this position.

Iraq Ministry of Finance: 2010 tariff revenues amount to 421 billion dinars

Baghdad, 23 March (Rn) – The Federal Ministry of Finance on Wednesday, that the proceeds of border crossing points for the year 2010 amounted to 431 billion dinars.

The Director General of the Directorate General of Customs Nofal Khalil told the Kurdish news agency (Rn) that “the financial revenues of the border ports in 2010 amounted to 421 billion Iraqi dinars after it was established a new mechanism for regulating the borders.”

And announced the Directorate General of Customs border that Iraq’s revenues from the customs border and arrived in the month of January last up to 34 billion dinars.

Cabinet agreed yesterday to form a committee to draft a law determining the salaries and allowances of civil servants from the Director General and above and to consider the possibility of amending the salary scale.

The Minister of State, the government spokesman Ali al-Dabbagh said in a statement that the committee will be chaired by the Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers and the agency and the membership of the Legal Adviser and Head of the Legal Department in the Secretariat and the Director of Legal and Ministry of Finance and representatives of the Presidency and the Office of Financial Supervision.
