Iraqi activists on the Facebook website have said that the mass public rally for ‘democratic reform’scheduled to take place on February 25 in Baghdad will go ahead regardless of Baghdad Operations Command’s delayed permit.

In response to the council’s delay in issuing the permit for the rally on security grounds, activist and blogger Bassam Abdul-Razzaq told AKnews that the protest would not be stalled because the Iraqi constitution guarantees the right of the public to voice its opinion and stage demonstrations.
