Iraqi dinar is currently experiencing a decline in its value against the US dollar since the Government sacked the former head of the Central Bank, Sinan Al-Shabibi is raising concern among money and economy in particular.
And the value of the Iraqi dinar fell gradually during the past few weeks, bringing the price of the dollar to about 1,300 dinars after was stable from 1120, the highest rate of exchange-rate mechanism for the last two years. (more…)

Baghdad (AIN) -The Secretary-General is deeply concerned by the upsurge of violence throughout Iraq that has left many dead and injured hundreds over the past week. He expresses his deepest condolences to the families of the victims and wishes the wounded a speedy recovery.
A statement by the UN Office received by AIN on Wednesday reported “The Secretary-General calls on the Iraqi Security Forces to exert utmost restraint in maintaining law and order, and he calls on the demonstrators to preserve the peaceful nature of their protests. Baghdad (AIN) –Independent MP, Qais al-Shather, expected the parliament to vote on all the law drafts during the current term.
He stated to AIN “We hope the laws not to be postponed to the next parliament rotation.”
“We still have time and ability to vote on the law drafts that are currently presented to the parliament,” he added.
The parliament resumed its sessions on last Tuesday.
At the Spring Economic Forum 2013, organized in the central province of Khanh Hoa from April 5-6, several delegates were of the view that the economic restructuring program started in Vietnam some years ago has been moving at far too slow a pace.

Central Bank to join the membership of the Islamic Corporation for the Insurance of Investment and Export Credit

BAGHDAD (Iba) … the Iraqi Central Bank announced the approval of the government on Iraq’s accession to membership of the Islamic Corporation for the Insurance of Investment and Export Credit, pointing out that the decision will contribute to the increase of Iraqi exports and the inflow of foreign investments. BAGHDAD / obelisk: The Central Bank of Iraq, Sunday, incorrect information, which says that it lends to the government, noting that this information designed to confuse the Iraqi market and harms the reputation of the central bank.

Baghdad (AIN) –The Ministry of Transportation decided to resume the air flights between Iraq and Kuwait at the end of next week.
The official spokesperson of the Ministry of Transportation, Karim al-Nouri, reported to AIN on Thursday ”The air flights of (Baghdad-Kuwait) airline will be resumed on next Thursday,” noting that “The date was appointed by the Ministry of Transportation.” (more…)
