Palm – The Electoral Commission in Iraq offers a coalition Dawlat law, led by Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki’s local council elections in eight provinces, according to official results for 87 percent of total public polling stations and station’s 32300 election.

The results showed clear progress for the State of Law coalition led by Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki and includes the Reform Movement, headed by Ibrahim Jafari head of the National Alliance, and the Badr Organization, led by Transport Minister Hadi al-Ameri, and the Virtue Party, in most provinces, the most important of Baghdad, in which one of his closest rival a wide margin. Energy parliamentary rule out the adoption of the law of oil and gas during the current legislative session

Oil and energy parliamentary ruled out the approval of the draft law of oil and gas during the current legislative session, attributed the reason to withdraw the draft law by the Committee of Five mini, which was formed by the central government and the Kurdistan region.

It is scheduled to project quintet study committee of law and the agreement on resolving the contentious points that it contains, which represent the main obstacles between the center and the region, in order to get out a final formula for the first reading. (more…)

U.S. State Dept reveals mediation to resolve the problem between Baghdad and Erbil

Revealed the U.S. State Department, Thursday, for the mediation to bring the views between the central government and the Kurdistan region of Iraq, and confirmed that it met with political leaders to solve the problems, but pointed out that it would send a delegation to the Kurdistan region during the next two days, calling on all parties to make concessions to reach solutions.

Committee announced economic parliamentary Thursday that this weekend will be the date for the launch of the financial budget for this year.

At the beginning of March 2013 the Iraqi parliament finally able to pass the annual budget, which was delayed for several months because of the conflict between the Kurdistan Regional Government and the central government on oil policy pursued by the region. This conflict can not find a solution in time at which the vote was taken, which led to the grumbling of the Kurdistan Alliance. With regard to the actual budget, it is the largest in the history of Iraq, as it includes the largest investment spending, but many ministries have proven their inability to spend all the money allocated to them. Called Iyad Allawi, leader of the coalition, the Iraqi List, the government of Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki to resign, saying that “it is best suited for early elections in Iraq.”

The form of the Iraqi Council of Ministers, on Thursday, a committee to audit and review the sale of the currency at the central bank auction, as he emphasized that the Commission will develop proposals to reduce the leakage of the currency.
