Baghdad (AIN) –The Secretary General of the Iraqi Islamic Party, Ayad al-Samarrai, pointed out that “Iraq suffers from the absence of the Uniting Iraqi Identity since a minority has believed in this aspect but many have rejected it.”

Samarrai called in an article received by AIN the Iraqi educated people to “Take their role in building the national identity on sound bases.” (more…)

Oil and energy parliamentary ruled out the approval of the draft law of oil and gas during the current legislative session, attributed the reason to withdraw the draft law by the Committee of Five mini, which was formed by the central government and the Kurdistan region.

It is scheduled to project quintet study committee of law and the agreement on resolving the contentious points that it contains, which represent the main obstacles between the center and the region, in order to get out a final formula for the first reading. (more…)

Baghdad (NINA) – Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki said, “We are in route to form a political majority government to manage the state’s affairs, and will set aside sectarian quota; we will put our hands with whoever builds the country.”

In a speech on Friday, Apr. 5, in Karbala, Maliki added, “We support reconciliation and want to build a state based on law and equality; all Iraqis are equal, no distinction between one and another, all their demands are legitimate.” (more…)

Baghdad/ NINA /–A Kuwaiti official source announced that Iraq and Kuwait agreed to create a wide buffer zone of 500 meters on both sides of the joint border, and to move Iraqi farmers to new homes.

The source told NINA : ” Kuwait pledged under the agreement to build fifty houses inside Iraq for the farmers living near the border.
