Baghdad (NINA) – Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki said, “We are in route to form a political majority government to manage the state’s affairs, and will set aside sectarian quota; we will put our hands with whoever builds the country.”

In a speech on Friday, Apr. 5, in Karbala, Maliki added, “We support reconciliation and want to build a state based on law and equality; all Iraqis are equal, no distinction between one and another, all their demands are legitimate.” (more…)

Karbala (AIN) –The Council of Ministers decided to add the remaining funds of 2012 budget to the budget of 2013.

The Minister of Planning, Ali Shukri, reported to the correspondent of AIN during his visit to Karbala province ”The Cabinet decided to add all the remaining funds of 2012 budget to the budget of 2013 ,” noting that “The funds will be listed for thier same allocations of 2012.”

Karbala (AIN) –The Kuwaiti government announced that the Kuwaiti Prime Minister will visit Iraq t the end of 2012 to follow up with the execution of the items of the associative Iraqi-Kuwaiti Committee.

The Kuwaiti ambassador to Iraq, Ali al-Muamin, stated in a press conference in Kerbela province “The Kuwaiti PM, Jabber al-Mubarak al-Sabah, will visit Baghdad this year to follow up the performance of the associative Committee about some pending issues between the two countries.” (more…)

KARBALA, May 1 (AKnews) – The Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah will visit Iraq by the end of this year to discuss the ongoing issues between the two countries, said Kuwait’s ambassador to Baghdad.

KARBALA, Feb. 29 (AKnews) – The Australian ambassador to Baghdad said her country supports the withdrawal of Iraq from the United Nation’s Chapter VII sanctions, adding that she visited Karbala to discuss investment opportunities.

Lyndall Sachs said in a statement during her visit on Monday: “Australia strongly supports the withdrawal of Iraq from Chapter VII, especially that it applied all its obligations by the International Security Council and the United Nations.”

Karbala, February 22 (Rn) – A spokesman for the Iraqi government said on Wednesday that the outstanding issues between Iraq and Kuwait need for high-level meetings to resolve it, pointing out that the Iraqi government has a certain vision in supporting the private sector.

Head of Karbala’s investment committee Taef Abdul Hussein said: “The investment law is good and encouraging but law enforcement is facing some obstacles by the ministries of the Iraqi state and its departments… And despite the fact that the Investment Authority is considered a ministry in itself… it doesn’t have authority over the ministries and departments that still hold land.” (more…)
