Baghdad (news) .. Yesterday chairman of the Islamic Supreme Council Ammar al-Hakim with the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, British Alistair Burt latest political developments of Iraq and the region.

A statement of Hakim’s office has received the Agency (news) a copy of it on Wednesday: The two sides also discussed the latest developments in Iraq and the region in general.

For his part, British Secretary of State Alistair Burt said in a statement to the press after the meeting on the similarity of views and positions and theses with al-Hakim, in support of the people seeking freedom and claim their rights properly away from the violence.

Baghdad, 29 April (Rn) – The Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, on Friday, that the Iraqi government would not agree to replace the venue of the coming Arab summit, likely at the same time be held in Baghdad in September next.

Ali Alsjeri of Kurdistan News Agency (Rn) that “Iraq brought an official message to the Arab League rejected the moves by some countries to change the location of the Arab summit in Baghdad and convert it to another place because it means giving up the Arab League for the constants agreed between the Arab countries.”
