BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: President of the National Investment Commission, Dr. Sami al-Araji, said that the practical experience undergone by the body by dealing with investment companies wishing to invest in Iraq, has proven the need to re-consider a number of laws and make amendments to the task of the first and foremost an amendment Thani Law Investment No. (13) for the year 2006 rate, to mature regulatory environment encouraging investment in Iraq and the various sectors. Student affairs specialist in real estate Haider Al Shammari to amend the investment law issued in (2006) as hindering the investment process in the country through the difficulty of granting land to investors.

Al-Shammari said, according to the Agency (news) The regulations and the legal systems of the investment made by the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers and the National Investment Commission backward are not keeping systems investment modern world indicating that it is inconsistent with the vision calling for free market economies, which led to the reluctance of many investors from entering the country, and made the investment process is weak in the country.
