The Oil Ministry announced that the export capacity of Iraq will amount to more than seven million barrels per day in 2015, confirming its quest to develop the infrastructure to transport crude oil storage and export.

The director of contracts and licensing of oil in the ministry Abdul Mahdi al-Amidi in a press statement that “Iraq will have the potential to export more than seven million barrels a day in 2015 when completed and the Oil Ministry building platforms floating end of the year,” noting that “the ministry would be willing to deal with these quantities for the purpose of transfer and export. ” (more…)

Baghdad, October 13 / October (Rn) – The Iraqi Oil Ministry said Thursday it plans to increase its exports of crude oil during the next year to more than 2.5 million barrels per day, indicating that production is expected to reach 3.3 million barrels per day.

The current production of crude oil from Iraq, about 2.7 to 2.8 million barrels per day of crude oil and the export of more than two million barrels a day, and relies on imports to cover the financial budget by up to 95 per cent.
